High above the sea, Deidara rode a giant clay bird over waters near the Calm Belt.
"Hey! Where's that guy you mentioned?" From his high vantage point, Deidara could see through his specially made tactical goggles that the Kuja Pirates' Perfume Serpent was racing along, apparently in pursuit of someone. But there was no sign of the World Destroyer.
In response to such a clueless question, Kizaru, flying invisibly nearby, simply reached out and slapped Deidara on the back of the head.
Caught off guard, Deidara felt a sudden pain in his head. He lurched forward and nearly fell off the giant bird.
Rubbing his head, Deidara glared in Kizaru's direction. "You bastard! What are you doing?"
"Did all your Haki training go to the dogs? What happened to your Observation Haki?" Kizaru mocked him mercilessly.
"Me?" Deidara was momentarily at a loss. He used his Observation Haki to sense below, but he was flying so high, and the distance was so great, that his Haki could barely reach the sea below before hitting its limit.
Still unable to find the World Destroyer, Deidara didn't want to expose his inadequate Haki training in front of Kizaru. He pretended to have spotted the enemy. "Someone like him is no match for the great Deidara on his own. You don't need to come along."
With that, he steered the giant bird downward, hoping to get closer to the sea and continue searching for the enemy.
Kizaru saw right through Deidara's little trick. He followed close behind and slapped him on the back of the head again.
"Damn it!" Deidara clutched his head once more and glared at Kizaru, disgruntled. "You hit me again, and I'll hit back!"
"You found Byrnndi World?" Kizaru asked with a grin.
"Of course!" Deidara answered stubbornly.
