Kizaru's sudden voice brought the hospital room to an instant silence. Yamato, sitting up in bed, looked at the man who had suddenly appeared in the doorway. She had just started to speak when she froze, eyes wide.
"It's you!"
"Oh, you know me?" Kizaru asked with a smile.
Yamato nodded. "You're the one who saved Ace. I saw you during the Paramount War broadcast. That guy Kaido forced me to watch it! He said an incredible person had appeared on the seas."
Kizaru didn't remember much about the pirate storyline, especially what happened after Fish-Man Island. So when Yamato mentioned Ace, he was a little surprised and asked with interest, "You know Ace?"
Yamato nodded again. When Ace came up, he grew excited. "Ace came to Wano Country. He's my friend. He encouraged me to go out to sea and leave Wano Country."
"Looks like you got along well," Kizaru said with a smile.
Yamato nodded vigorously a third time. "Ace is a companion I recognize!"
"So why didn't you set sail? Why did you stay in Wano Country?" Kizaru kept smiling as he seized the opportunity to ask.
Seeing Yamato start talking with Kizaru in response to his questions, the Uzumaki Jonin beside the bed stepped back, giving them room to speak. Looking at Kizaru's smile and then at the guileless Yamato, she couldn't shake the feeling that a little rabbit was being lured in by an old fox.
"I'm going to defeat Kaido! I'm going to inherit Oden's will and open Wano Country!" Yamato grew excited again as he spoke. He even raised his right fist to emphasize his words.
"Is that so? Have you ever considered how likely you are to defeat Kaido when you stay in Wano Country under his watch? How will that help
