Izuna’s childhood was shaped by relentless comparison to his older brother, Itachi. At age three, he struggled to learn shuriken techniques while Fugaku expected him to match Itachi’s exceptional talent. Fugaku eventually abandoned him during training; when Izuna finally hit the target after practicing alone, his father was gone. The experience left Izuna insecure, distant from both Fugaku and Itachi, and determined to improve through effort. 271
