Deep within her Kakugan, that darkness throbbed wildly. Boom. The skin all over her body burst apart. No blood flowed out—only a boundless flood of black-and-red RC Cells.
They erupted like a volcano that had lain dormant for ten thousand years. In midair, the RC Cells became vast swaths of dark red blood mist, so dense they seemed solid. The mist writhed in the wind, weaving together and reshaping itself.
The crisp crackle of growing bone rang out without pause. Layer upon layer of black, hardened armor formed. In that instant, Takatsuki Sen's small, slender body
swelled at a terrifying speed before the naked eye. One meter. Ten meters. Fifty meters. In a flash, she became a monster a hundred meters tall.
It was the One-Eyed Owl, as vast as a mountain. The entire Kagune beast was deep black.
Incredibly hard black bone armor covered every joint. Countless eerie Kakugan
blinked wildly and irregularly from the gaps in its armor, radiating a brutality that made the soul tremble. Enormous Kagune wings spread behind it, blotting out the night sky over all of Tokyo's 20th Ward.
They shut out the wan moonlight falling from above. The giant beast stood at the edge of the shattered rooftop, exuding an endless aura of death.
