The farther in he went, the dimmer the light became. The dark red flesh beneath his feet had completely lost its vitality and crackled beneath his steps.

After passing through layers of shriveled tentacles, he found a massive pit ahead, as though it had been forcibly smashed into the ground.

At the bottom of the pit, a strange aura faintly seeped out.

Lu Zhen leaped down and landed on hard black rock. A downward fissure split the center of the rock layer. He followed it deeper and deeper as the temperature around him steadily dropped.

The four walls were covered in vague, strange patterns. Directly ahead stood an enormous metal door. Lu Zhen stepped closer and peered through the half-open gap in the metal door. Inside, there was another door made of black stone.

"Hidden this deeply, and protected by two layers of doors—it can't be anything ordinary." Lu Zhen's gaze sharpened.

He pressed a hand against the outer metal door and suddenly exerted force. Amid a piercing scraping sound, the metal door slowly opened.

He stepped inside and arrived before the black stone door. He tried pushing it, but it did not budge.

Lu Zhen held two fingers together like a sword, and crimson-gold sword light surged forth
