Anno glanced at Ector: "The entry requirements for my Britain Chalk Knights are quite harsh."
He commanded the most elite force in Britain, originally named the Glory Knights of Britain, and every member of this order wore bright silver plate armor identical to Anno's.
Anno was an undefeated lord who had never lost a single battle. Every time he returned in triumph, he would ride through the royal city of Camelot in his armor, leading his men, and the commoners of the city dubbed them the "Chalk of Britain."
Later, Anno simply changed the name of the order to the Britain Chalk Knights, and he himself became known as the Chalk Knight of Britain.
This order was small, numbering only a few hundred, so every member possessed the strength to take on at least ten men, which was terrifyingly high.
"It's fine, I have confidence in Kay." Ector smiled; these children were full of vigor and brought hope.
"Father, Mr. Anno." Artoria bowed to the two of them.
"Father, Sir Ector." Lancelot looked rather restless.
Kay had already greeted Anno.
He appeared quite carefree.
"Did Mr. Merlin not come?" Artoria asked, as Anno usually brought Merlin along whenever he visited in the past.
Upon hearing that name, veins bulged on Kay's forehead.
"Lia, why do you care about that old geezer? He only ever causes trouble for others." Kay sounded somewhat indignant.
Artoria had to farm, tend to the horses, and undergo knight training during the day, and after dark, she had to follow Merlin into her dreams to study. For Kay, who had doted on his sister since childhood, this was completely unacceptable.
Yet, this was how Artoria comforted Kay: It's fine, at least I can still get a full two hours of sleep a day.
Good grief, that only made Kay more unwilling, and he would constantly shout about wanting to teach Merlin a lesson.
Under this near-exploitative training, Artoria could be called a perfect knight from every perspective.
"Merlin did not come." Anno sighed.
To make such a young child bear the weight of all of Britain...
"The purpose of my visit this time is to tell you, Artoria." Patting Lancelot on the shoulder, Anno walked up to Artoria and said in a deep voice, "You must begin to prepare to accept your destiny, future King of Britain."
Artoria froze.
The air seemed to solidify.
Lancelot stood to the side, stiff and silent, while Ector fell into a state of sorrow.
"Hey, hey, Uncle Anno, do you mean..." Kay could hardly believe it.
Anno nodded: "Lia's biological father, King Uther of Britain, does not have much time left."
"But, but Lia is still so young." Kay said urgently.
He felt deep heartache for his foster sister.
"Brother Kay, say no more." Artoria stopped Kay from continuing, her gaze sharp. "I understand, Mr. Anno."
Anno nodded: "Go and learn as much as you can; there is not much time left for you."
Lancelot looked at Artoria, his face slightly flushed.
Kay sighed to himself.
"The next time I visit, it will be time for you all to head to Britain." Anno continued, "We won't stay any longer today. Let's go, Lancelot."
"Yes, Father." The purple-haired youth waved at Kay and Artoria before following his foster father.
The three of them walked out the door, and soon, Anno and Lancelot were already galloping away on their horses.
