Oceannus was finished.

On the day Oceannus passed away, I was born too (doge).

Being able to wrap up a major arc on my birthday felt pretty wonderful.

The Oceannus arc should count as a new attempt for me.

Unlike Sakumura Anno, the previous major arc, Oceannus didn't have Sakumura's grand ambitions and great wishes. From my own perspective, my evaluation of Oceannus's arc would be: a classic shonen tale. (Meaning what people jokingly called One Piece + Grand Blue + Stone Ocean.)

I didn't make Oceannus bear too much pressure—at least not in the early stages—and simply let him live freely.

As for the later stages...

Actually, aside from Oceannus, for the other four people, I was pursuing an ending in the style of a [Greek hero].

In Greek mythology, basically no hero ever died honorably as a hero. They all died amid all sorts of conspiracies and schemes.

So the heroes of the Elma also died in all kinds of conspiracies. (P.S. Standard ending.)

In short, the story of this book's fourth Anno differentiated individual has now come to an end.

From the very first and most immature Sword Anno [Anno].

To the later, still somewhat rough Mage Anno [Lawrence].

Then to [Sakumura], through whom everyone was able to witness my growth.

And now, to the good man of the seas, [Oceannus].

I wonder what everyone thought of a protagonist like him?

It was still the same thing I always said, but this time, it was probably the most fitting.

I firmly believed that no matter how tragic the ending might be, the journey could still contain laughter and warmth.

So please look forward to the next major chapter, [Third Singularity: The Four Seas Sealed at the End—Oceanus].
