The Tiger Lord Dance continued. Suddenly, all twenty-four Tiger Lord attendants froze in unison, dropped to the ground, and raised their heads.
"Awoo——"
The Tiger Lord attendants imitated a tiger's roar, their voices thunderous.
Xiang An and Xiang Yu both stood where they were, their eyes flickering as though they were sensing something. Xiang Liang was the same, while Zishu continued chatting with that young man.
No one noticed the shifty-looking child of seven or eight sneaking up beside Xiang An.
He spotted the bronze sword at Xiang An's waist, his eyes lighting up as he reached out to draw it.
"Hmm!?"
Sensing someone's hand closing around his sword hilt, Xiang An gripped the hilt of his bronze sword in less than a second and pulled back.
"Ah!" Before the little boy could react, Xiang An caught his hand in the motion. The sheer force flung the child into the air.
"Hm? A child?" Once Xiang An saw who had tried to draw his sword, he froze and instinctively let go.
The little boy landed on his backside, his face blank with confusion.
"What happened?" Xiang Yu and Xiang Liang looked toward Xiang An.
"Uh, this kid seemed like he wanted to draw my sword, and then I..." Xiang An scratched the back of his head.
Seeing Xiang Yu and Xiang Liang looking over, the little boy felt a chill run down his spine. Without thinking, he hid behind Xiang An's legs.
"Huh?" Xiang An was completely baffled.
Uncle and nephew, Xiang Liang and Xiang Yu, exchanged a glance and saw the awkwardness in each other's eyes.
The two of them did, perhaps, look somewhat...
Xiang An, on the other hand—though he could not exactly be called handsome—at least looked fairly harmless.
