The High Mysteries held another meeting.

Though it was called "another," the Mysteries did not actually meet very often.

Compared to humanity's habit of constantly holding meetings to pool wisdom, the High Mysteries were the very model of "disunity."

The main reason was that although the High Mysteries were all gathered beneath the supreme Mystery Will, they were still beings with minds of their own.

More importantly, most of these High Mysteries possessed modes of thought utterly incomprehensible to humans. Chaos and madness were their default state.

Thus, when the High Mysteries met, their favorite pastime was talking past one another and spreading their own chaotic wills. Conflicts easily erupted between them, after which they would begin spreading their chaotic wills in direct opposition to each other.

To put it in more conventional terms, it was difficult for them to unite ideologically.

Therefore, it was usually the Witch of No Light, spokesperson for the Mystery Will, who conveyed the Mystery Will's demands, after which the High Mysteries acted by carrying out those orders.

This meeting was no exception. The High Mysteries "routinely" fell into an argument, then the Witch of No Light appeared and suppressed them, after which a new order was issued.

The new order was for the Mysteries to seek out the "Void Outer Gods."

The Witch of No Light had already learned that Abigail Williams had appeared in the real world and made contact with Matou Zouken. The power Abigail had displayed also undoubtedly proved that the Void Outer Gods still existed.

The Void God Realm that belonged to the Void Outer Gods might likewise exist somewhere.

If so, then they had to make genuine contact with these things whose nature was so similar to that of the Mysteries.
