Before the entrance inside the Loki Familia.
Liber stood by the door in light gear, waiting for Lefiya to arrive.
From within the Twilight Manor, a flurry of hurried footsteps echoed out.
"S-sorry! Sorry to keep you waiting!"
Accompanied by the frantic footsteps, Lefiya appeared before Liber.
She ran up to him, clutching her staff in one hand while struggling under the weight of a massive pack strapped to her back, and offered a flustered apology.
Liber watched in silence as Lefiya stood there with a backpack larger than her entire body.
"What is all this...?" he asked, bewildered.
"These?" Lefiya tilted her head, glancing behind her following Liber's gaze.
"Ah, this is the luggage I prepared for the Dungeon." Lefiya bounced the heavy pack slightly.
"Might I ask exactly what you've brought?" Liber asked, the corner of his mouth twitching.
"No problem." Lefiya nodded emphatically and said, "Inside, I have bandages for treatment, emergency rations and water, and spare clothing.
There are also twenty bottles of antidote, twenty bottles of hemostatic potion, ten bottles of high-grade healing potion, and ten bottles each of stamina and mana potions.
I even prepared three bottles of Elixir as a backup for my backups.
Plus various maps, simple Magic Stone lamps, and so on—I prepared everything I could think of."
Listening to Lefiya list the contents of her pack one by one left Liber speechless, his expression turning incredibly strange as he looked at her.
"W-what's wrong?"
Lefiya, who had been counting the items on her fingers, grew anxious upon seeing Liber's odd expression.
She asked cautiously, "Is there something missing from what I prepared?"
"No..." Liber sighed. "Your preparation is too thorough—so thorough that I'm actually starting to feel embarrassed."
"Really? Hehe." Lefiya laughed, looking a bit shy.
"I'm not complimenting you!" Liber looked at her, caught between laughter and tears.
Just like weapons, only those meticulously forged using the Smithing development ability can be called high-quality gear.
Elixirs and potions are similar; only those who have acquired the Synthesis development ability upon leveling up can craft these restorative items, which are superior to ordinary mixed concoctions.
The effects of these high-quality potions are instantaneous, allowing the user to heal wounds at a visible rate or neutralize toxins within mere seconds.
Their efficacy is swift and rapid, far surpassing medical supplies made by mixing common herbs.
Much like their effects, these extraordinary potions are just as costly as weapons forged with the Smithing development ability.
Yet, for her very first time forming a party, Lefiya had prepared a significant amount of these expensive potions.
There were high-grade elixirs capable of stopping bleeding, rapidly healing flesh wounds, and even mending bones, effectively treating most injuries.
There were stamina potions to quickly restore energy, and mana potions to alleviate the weakness caused by mana depletion and restore mental and magical power in a short time.
Every one of these elixirs was worth a fortune.
Especially the high-grade healing and mana potions; for high-level adventurers, these are expensive supplies not to be used lightly unless absolutely necessary, and those without savings simply cannot afford them.
Furthermore, beyond these expensive medicines, what was truly staggering was the rare Elixir.
This is currently the most effective and well-known ultra-high-grade potion on the market in Orario.
Even if an adventurer suffers a fatal wound and is on the brink of death, drinking one allows them to regain mobility in a very short time.
Its price is comparable to the equipment of some Level 3 adventurers—and one must remember, this is a consumable item.
Moreover, such potions are often unavailable even if you have the money, as they are treasures that must be pre-ordered from an apothecary.
In short, despite the potion being held in such high regard, Lefiya had still prepared three bottles.
In other words, she had spent millions of Valis on supplies just for this party formation.
To spend this much for a mere shallow-floor exploration—this girl is far too wealthy.
Liber muttered to himself.
The two of them, looking to be of similar age, stood before the door in stark contrast.
One was dressed in light gear, not even carrying a weapon. The other was fully armed, clutching a magic staff and carrying a massive, bulging backpack.
"Um... Liber, where is your weapon?" Lefiya asked timidly, looking at the empty-handed Liber.
"I've already placed the things I prepared in another place," Liber replied to Lefiya.
"Hmm~ so everything you're bringing is in that bag?" Liber pondered for a moment before asking her.
"Y-yes!" Lefiya paused, reflecting on Liber's strange reply, before finally reacting.
"Go ahead and put your luggage down. I'll help you carry it, and it'll give you a chance to see why I didn't bring much."
"Ah?" Lefiya responded blankly, but followed Liber's instructions and set the backpack on the ground.
She watched as the ground where the bag rested rippled like water, and the backpack slowly vanished.
Lefiya's eyes widened as she watched the backpack vanish.
"Liber, the backpack..." Lefiya said in a panic.
"Rest easy, I have a storage magic. I'll just take it out when we need it."
Right before Lefiya's eyes, Liber reached out and gripped a hilt that had suddenly appeared between them.
He drew his weapon, swung it a few times casually, then rested the tip against the ground and let go.
The Broadsword fell straight down and vanished right in front of them.
"So... so amazing." Lefiya exclaimed, covering her mouth with one hand.
"Didn't I show you back at the courtyard?" Liber asked, puzzled.
"I was too busy looking at Ais, I didn't notice at all." Lefiya whispered, tapping her index fingers together.
Hearing her soft murmur, Liber didn't know what to say and decided to change the subject.
"This magic is quite convenient; carrying too much gear is a waste of stamina, after all."
"I actually thought I'd have to double as a supporter."
Lefiya muttered softly while clutching her staff.
In the Dungeon, a supporter is a vital role.
Usually, if there isn't a professional supporter accompanying the party, the rear guard—who doesn't need to move as much or engage in melee combat—takes on the role.
The supporter Lefiya mentioned is the person tasked with collecting and recovering Magic Stone drops and special materials after a brief skirmish in the Dungeon.
These individuals are typically non-combatants with little strength, and their purpose is to free up the adventurers' hands and bodies.
By reducing the burden on their stamina and allowing them to carry more loot without having to fight while wearing heavy packs or carrying gear, they help the adventurers gain experience more efficiently.
Among adventurers, almost no one has a convenient storage ability like Liber, and there are no convenient storage items available on the market.
Everyone still relies on containers to carry their belongings, and the weight of the items cannot be reduced; the total weight remains exactly what it is.
In Orario, there are some weaker individuals who work exclusively as supporters, hired by adventurers.
Within factions that are generally more powerful, lower-level juniors or magic-wielding rear guards usually act as temporary supporters.
Liber heard the girl's faint voice and smiled.
"Your level is actually higher than mine. If we run into a major crisis in the Dungeon, you're the main force."
"I, I'm still very immature, I can't be trusted like Ais!"
Hearing Liber's teasing tone, Lefiya looked timid; if anyone else were watching, they might think she was about to cry.
The elf girl clearly wasn't the most mentally resilient person.
In her eyes, she still had a lot of room for growth compared to everyone else.
Looking at the cowering Lefiya, Liber felt like crying himself.
She was theoretically his senior in the Familia, a member he should be learning adventuring experience and team coordination from.
Why did it feel like she needed more looking after than he did?
