Aragorn's arrangements were simple yet effective, aimed precisely at those adventurers harboring ill intent within the tavern. After all, if they had fallen so low, then they either lacked brains, lacked strength, or lacked both. Any adventurer with both brains and strength would never have ended up drinking the cheapest ale in some remote little tavern like this.

It was obvious that if the adventurers in this tavern were such vile scum, then how could its owner and waiter possibly be honorable gentlemen of high moral character who kept their promises?
