Background / History

Kiana grew up with Siegfried as her only family. After he disappeared without explanation, she traveled across Europe and eventually reached Nagazora while following sparse clues about him. Before arriving there, she seemingly had few lasting friendships and had not attended St. Freya. 16

She initially interprets Siegfried's disappearance as abandonment or a possible attempt to protect her from an arranged marriage. Jiang Cheng later tells her that Siegfried fled with her because Otto had subjected her to human experimentation. The revelation overwhelms Kiana, who flees before Jiang Cheng rescues her from an oncoming truck. 45 46
