Ghost Horde

Fang Hu stepped closer as he spoke, his tone teasing.

"Inspector Huang, why so nervous? We're colleagues. I just saw you."

The dog-teasing remark had barely left his mouth halfway—

when a sharp clang came from the driver's seat, followed by the urgent rattle of chains.

Two chains that had turned scarlet tore through Huang Yaozu's pocket, pierced the car door as if it were paper, and shot toward Fang Hu's face.

The iron hooks sank deeply into him, then contracted and reeled back!

"What is this? No—Hah—!"

Fang Hu let out a wail like that of an evil ghost. A mass of black mist was hooked out of his body, together with the blood splattering from the wound torn across his face.

They were dragged back along the same path, through the hole in the car door, and into the triangular talisman lying on the seat.

It was over!

Five gunshots rang out in quick succession from inside the police station. As Huang Yaozu finished backing up, he saw through the rearview mirror that Li Guoqiang was pushing the wheelchair of the bespectacled young man from the Miscellaneous Affairs Division as they rushed out.

Then came a barrage of gunfire.

One was seated, one was standing, and both fired as they fled.
