Carrying a Corpse

In desperate situations, people could always unleash an astonishing survival instinct.

Some people had smashed their own leg bones during earthquakes; others had amputated their own limbs with saws because of illness; some fought cancer through sheer willpower.

At that moment, the five members of the 'Horror Reality Experience Show,' surrounded by vicious ghosts and nearly hanged to death, had also awakened their will to survive.

The remaining two looked at the five boxes still left and gritted their teeth.

Je-yoon stepped forward first and shoved his arm into the fourth box. Ji-hyun took the fifth. Seeing that three boxes remained, Charlotte walked over as well and inserted her other arm into one.

They reached inside almost simultaneously.

Trapped here, they no longer had enough time to slowly test them one by one.

Three boxes.

The first box shook violently. When Je-yoon pulled out his hand, its skin and flesh looked as though they had been scrubbed dozens of times with a steel wool pad. It was bloody and mangled, though not seriously injured.

Next came Charlotte's scream. When she pulled her hand back, all five fingers had been bent back onto the back of her hand, completely broken.

Ji-hyun, in the third box, felt nothing. It seemed to be completely empty.

But when she withdrew her hand, it was covered in long black horsehair worms.

Half of the worms had burrowed into her palm like thick hairs, still drilling deeper. Fighting down the crawling sensation on her scalp, Ji-hyun immediately tore them out one by one and threw them onto the floor.

One worm had snapped on the back of her hand, with the remaining half almost completely inside. Using her longer fingernails, she viciously pinched the piece of skin around it, Then twisted hard, ripping off the skin
