Every movement he made was proper and measured. It was obvious that he was a man of great standing and deep devotion.
"An archbishop?"
"The Bible never says that all humans have to die, or that even bishops must sacrifice themselves!" Wu Heng asked.
"Yes, it does not," Father answered seriously, shaking his head just as seriously.
"Then, since you're not insane, why do you want to wipe out all humanity?" Wu Heng asked.
"Because I discovered a truth that isn't written in the Bible!" Father said.
"The truth?"
"What truth?" Wu Heng asked.
"A terrible truth!" Father prayed once more and wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes.
"How terrible?"
"More terrible than the evil gods sealed beneath this world breaking free of their seals!" Father's hands trembled.
It was impossible to tell whether he was trembling from fear or rage.
Wu Heng reached up and touched the rope around his neck. "Can you tell me about it?"
"I cannot tell you, but you'll know once you're dead!" Father pulled a handgun from his pocket, a silver-white pistol engraved with a cross. "Your soul will know!"
Bang!
Without the slightest hesitation, he fired almost the instant he drew the gun, in less than 0.4 seconds.
"You're... a sealed object from the Evil God Zone? How is that possible?!" Father trembled as he continued firing. His gun and bullets had both been specially treated; the weakest things they could withstand were the monsters in the sealed zone responsible for executing sacrifices.
But those monsters could never leave the sealed zone!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunshots rang out in rapid succession, yet there was no sound of bullets striking anything.
The air around the hanging rope had seemingly solidified, forming an isolation barrier.
