Realm Structure

Heavenly Origin is the realm in which a martial artist transcends the ordinary by transforming Gang Qi into Gang Essence through the power of heaven and earth. The realm contains nine levels, described as “nine layers of heaven.” 258 342

Requirements

• A practitioner must complete Marrow Cleansing before attempting Heavenly Origin; no further bodily transformation is possible without crossing the realm barrier. 258
• The breakthrough requires opening the connection between heaven and earth, then drawing heaven-and-earth power into the body through the Baihui acupoint. 258
• The incoming power refines Gang Qi into Gang Essence, also called Heavenly Origin. 258
• Strong will and physique are essential:
  • Insufficient will can result in mental damage or insanity.
  • An inadequate body can suffer broken bones and torn sinews under the heavenly pressure. 258

Transformation

Upon success, a practitioner’s Gang Qi is fully converted into Gang Essence, while impurities, foul blood, and bone dust are expelled from the body. 258

Cultivation
