The voice left Allen stunned for a moment.
"Attention: The first mission is now issued. Please win the grand prize at the Quality Quidditch Supplies event. Good luck, I believe in you."
The system's voice was actually a perk; its ethereal tone sounded incredibly relaxing, soothing Allen's nervous emotions.
"However, what is the penalty if the mission fails?"
"There is no penalty, but if the first mission fails, the system will no longer serve the host."
"Uh... then is there any external support?" Such a casual threat effectively made Allen instantly nervous again.
"To help the host better adapt to the Super Scholar System, we have prepared a novice gift pack. It is in the storage grid; please go for it without hesitation."
"How do I open the storage grid?"
The moment he thought of the storage grid, a subspace similar to one created by an Undetectable Extension Charm appeared in Allen's consciousness.
The space contained only three items.
One was a roll of primitive parchment tied with a red string; one was a wizard's robe; and the last was a book.
Allen chose to open the parchment first. The red string fell off automatically, and as the scroll unfurled, he saw the words: "Invincible Aura for 15 minutes."
Function: It can be used in intervals or all at once. Within the duration of the aura, the host gains luck effects stronger than Felix Felicis, a boost to magical power, and temporary access to the wisdom and knowledge of ancient wizards.
Truly, when God closes a door, He opens a window; this function was practically tailor-made for completing the first mission!
"Use the aura for three minutes." Without hesitation, Allen chose to activate it.
A clear stream flowed out from the storage grid, and Allen felt an unprecedented clarity of mind, a wonderful sensation as if the whole world were under his control.
"Are you ready?" the clerk urged.
"I can begin." Allen could hardly wait.
"What is the incantation for Incendio?"
"When Jupiter and Venus meet, what does it signify?"
"What are the habits of Devil's Snare?"
Thirty questions covering History of Magic, Astronomy, Arithmancy, and more were all successfully answered by Allen within three minutes.
The fluid rhythm of his answering had already left the surrounding onlookers dumbfounded.
Ron was uncontrollably excited; not only was his hair fiery red, but his cheeks, dusted with a few mischievous freckles, and his ears were all burning crimson.
"Congratulations, you have won our grand prize, the special edition broomstick—Neptune!"
The clerk brought out a noble and mysterious broomstick, silver as the starry sky.
Although Allen had never touched a broomstick before, he could tell this was an exceptionally fine piece of equipment.
The curve of the tail twigs looked comfortable, the sleek lines ensured the broom's speed, and the soft, tanned lambskin on the handle seemed to be calling out for its owner's caress!
"This is the top-tier broomstick in the wizarding world, even better in performance than the mass-produced Nimbus series! Allen, can I touch it?" Ron was so excited he was incoherent.
"Of course!" Allen handed the broom to Ron without hesitation. Ron seemed so excited he could barely breathe, holding the Neptune as if it were a rare, priceless treasure!
"Could you please go to the Leaky Cauldron and find Mr. Owen Harris—my father? Ask him to come here?" Given the current situation, an adult needed to step in.
"Happy to be of service!" It seemed the clerk had been completely won over by Allen's prowess.
He gave a few instructions to a small, nimble clerk, who darted toward the Leaky Cauldron as agilely as a monkey.
By the time Ron had stroked the "Neptune" for the tenth time in a trance, Mr. Harris interrupted his incessant praise!
"Good heavens, I truly cannot believe it." Mr. Harris looked at his son in disbelief.
"Dad, perhaps we should go back before we talk!" Allen suddenly had a headache—how was he supposed to explain this to his family!
