Background

Uchiha Qi was born into the branch lineage of Uchiha Kagami, a clan that had been systematically ostracized by Konoha’s leadership since the era of the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama 3. His parents died in war, leaving him a war orphan at an awkward age: too old to be easily adopted but too young to be self-sufficient 3. The Uchiha clan’s communal asset system meant that upon his parents’ death, he lost the right to their home and was relegated to a remote corner of the Uchiha compound to live alongside other orphans 3. Without any special aptitude, Qi had not yet awakened his Sharingan and possessed only the strength of a common genin, having mastered the Three Body Technique and a single C-rank ninjutsu 3. He was, by his own assessment, cannon fodder 3.

For months, Qi endured the meager support provided by the clan. He observed that orphans without any clan backing fared even worse in Konoha, where the village valued only those who could contribute nutrients to its survival 4. Men became spies; women were turned into shrine maidens for foreign currency 4. The memory of his past life—a trivial craving for an egg pancake that went unfulfilled—sharpened his resentment at the indignities of his new existence 4. Driven to a corner by hunger and the frustration of his transmigrator’s sense of superiority, he finally decided to use the cheat he had discovered 4.

The cheat was a card-drawing system: by spending summoning scrolls accumulated through daily check-ins, Qi could draw cards that summoned living, named ninjas from other anime worlds 3. These ninjas, while possibly weaker in their original contexts, were qualified operatives by nature, and their Sharingan enhancements made them competent in the Naruto world 3. Additionally, the system allowed Qi to assign these ninjas to complete missions in exchange for points, which could be used to exchange for resources and materials 3. The system required at least purple-tier or orange-tier cards for higher-level missions, but Qi initially lacked orange cards and could only accept low-level tasks 3. He could perform roughly one ten-pull per month by saving scrolls 3.

After half a year of hoarding, Qi threw caution to the wind and pulled the gacha all at once, summoning over sixty ninjas in a single flash of light 5. He was prepared for the worst—death or exile—but the sudden appearance of so many Uchiha clansmen created a fait accompli that the village and clan leadership had to accommodate 3 5. Fugaku Uchiha, the clan head, was under immense pressure from Konoha’s anti-Uchiha policies and desperately needed to increase the clan’s strength, so he accepted the newcomers with surprising ease 3. Over the following months and years, Qi continued to draw cards monthly, steadily growing his branch 3.

In less than two years, Qi transformed his desolate corner of the Uchiha compound into a thriving, prosperous area 3. His branch became a powerful faction that controlled one-fifth of the Uchiha population—a group composed entirely of ninjas 2. This forced Fugaku to acknowledge Qi’s branch and grant it a seat at the clan council 3. Qi’s status as an elder was not something granted by the clan head; it was a position he compelled through sheer force of numbers 2. At his first clan meeting, when the elders offered him a seat by the door—a place for someone not fit to be an elder—Qi ignored it, marched to the left side of Fugaku, and simply said “Move.” When the Great Elder did not comply, Qi had his subordinates hack the man to pieces on the spot 38. This was both a display of power and a statement of his dissatisfaction with the clan’s tacit allowance of Root infiltration into their living quarters 38.

Despite his weak personal strength—he had only a single-tomoe Sharingan and the combat ability of a chunin—Qi surrounded himself with a perversely strong guard detail 2. His most trusted subordinate was Uchiha Gen, a qualified leader 1 2. Others included Uchiha Oboro, a failure in ninjutsu and taijutsu but possessing a mysterious Mangekyō Sharingan with a silence effect that Fugaku himself had mistaken for a true Mangekyō 2; and Uchiha Josuke, a lecherous Jonin with three-tomoe Sharingan who clung to Qi’s side to avoid an arranged marriage to an Akimichi girl 2. Qi was acutely aware of the threats from Konoha’s major clans and the Hokage’s factions, so he gathered his most powerful subordinates as personal guards, knowing that he was truly afraid of dying 2.

Qi’s rise was also facilitated by Fugaku’s indecisiveness. Fugaku, while appearing hawkish, was a defeatist at heart who focused on networking and hoped to outlive the Third Hokage to eventually integrate the Uchiha into Konoha 1. Qi felt genuine gratitude for this personality trait; had Fugaku been more decisive, the old Qi would have been finished 1. As it was, Qi’s faction grew so dominant that in terms of sheer ninja numbers, if the other Uchiha did not unite under Fugaku, they would have no standing to even speak with Qi 2.

Qi’s path was not without betrayal. The orphans he had originally saved—the dozen or so children he had fed and protected—gradually turned their hearts toward the Hokage, who manipulated them with the Will of Fire 5. They began to transmit Konoha’s ideology into Qi’s faction, growing closer to Shisui’s branch 5. Qi understood intellectually that the Hokage was the orthodox authority, but he could not accept the emotional betrayal; he had placed himself in dangerous situations to provide those orphans with hot meals, and their defection felt like a betrayal of class 5. This loneliness—surrounded by summoned “paper characters” and betrayed by the real ones—left Qi struggling to remember why he had started his journey 5.

Nevertheless, Qi persisted. He expanded his influence beyond the clan, developing the Naka Shrine area into a prosperous farming and trading hub, attracting wandering ninjas and refugees 34. He supported the Iga and Koga clans in establishing academies and dojos, creating a web of alliances that further solidified his power 34. His strategic and economic prowess made him a threat that the Third Hokage increasingly could not ignore 34. By the time of the main narrative, Qi had become the most influential figure under Fugaku, an elder who could orchestrate a military parade to intimidate the Hokage himself 50.

Following the Naka Shrine conflict, Qi began pursuing individual strength rather than relying solely on his summons. The Power of the Heavenly God cost him his vision, and he made plans to create Zero-Tails in the Land of Rivers as a source of further power 52. He later chose to undergo surgery modeled on Hyoma’s successful procedure, using Kaguya cells and a Zero-Tails seal to restore his sight and improve his body 70. His forces also began transplanting Red Eyes into rogue ninja and missing-nin who wished to join Nanga, greatly expanding his organization’s manpower and ocular resources 70.

Qi ultimately transformed Nanga from a Uchiha power base into an expansionist political and military force. He pursued the partition of Konoha while prioritizing Nanga’s interests over the Daimyo Mansion’s demands 127. He ordered operations to restore the Land of Whirlpools, seize the Land of Sea, blockade the Land of Water, and secure Summoning Island’s sealing techniques and supply of summoned beasts 129. His military campaigns demonstrated that he no longer merely manipulated others from behind guards: he personally defeated Hanzo of the Salamander after entering Sage Mode and using Observation Haki, then killed Hanzo despite the diplomatic consequences 139 140.

As faith in Qi intensified, his power became increasingly mythological. He fought the Evil God Buddha, separated it into different realms through divine power, and was empowered by Sunflower’s worship 159. After defeating Buddha, Qi descended as a god and became the object of worship throughout the ninja world 162. He subsequently used the Box of Ultimate Bliss to create the Chaos gods Tzeentch, Khorne, Nurgle, and Slaanesh from human emotions, beginning the formation of his own pantheon 163.

Personality

  • Arrogant: Qi consistently displays a sense of superiority, looking down on even powerful institutions like Root and Anbu, declaring them “a bunch of rats that cannot see the light” and planning to purge them once he obtains stronger ninjas 2. He openly contempts the commoners of Konoha, believing them to be governed by “fearing power but not cherishing virtue, having small courtesies but no great righteousness” 21. His “arrogance of a transmigrator” and “disdain of a great clan for commoners” are evident when he lectures villagers from a position of assumed intellectual superiority 10.

  • Calculating and Strategic: Qi is a meticulous schemer who always thinks multiple steps ahead. He plans to use Danzo’s assassination attempt as leverage to expose Danzo’s past actions and strip him of advantages 19. He devises a counter-strategy to the Hokage’s “Hokage Assistant” scheme, seeing through it immediately 20. He uses Uchiha Oboro as a nuclear deterrent misrepresented to Fugaku as having a Mangekyō Sharingan, understanding that “this nuclear deterrence could only be used for intimidation” 2. He plans to gather rogue ninjas not out of altruism but to “muddy the waters” and uncover the backers of the Bounty Exchange 34.

  • Ruthless: Qi views human life casually, leading Minato to realize that “the Uchiha, who saw themselves as the masters of Konoha, couldn't even treat life itself with proper respect” 30. He is willing to “drag the Uchiha down with him” in a war if necessary to ensure his own survival 23. He sends his branch into action with “iron-blooded unity” and is prepared to sacrifice morality for the survival of his race, taking pride in “the survival of his race” rather than personal pride 38. His decision to kill the defeated Hanzo despite the threat of war shows that he will accept large-scale conflict when he considers destruction necessary for a new order 140.

  • Lonely and Isolated: Despite his power, Qi is profoundly isolated. He feels like “an expendable person” at important gatherings, and is marginalized when Minato arrives, entering a state of “invisibility” 8. He “could only keep company with ‘paper characters’” drawn from his cheat, and doubts whether even those summoned characters would like him without the system's mental imprint 5. The betrayal of the Uchiha orphans he helped causes him significant emotional distress 5. Even after becoming an object of worship, he treats a collection of eyes as companions and confidants rather than seeking ordinary social contact 125.

  • Cautious and Paranoid: Qi never underestimates opponents; he believes “weakness and ignorance are not barriers to survival; arrogance is” 8. He gathers his “most powerful subordinates as his personal guards” because he is “truly afraid of dying” given his personal weakness as a just-awakened Sharingan user 2. He constantly suspects others’ motives, analyzing Minato’s every word and action to uncover “what kind of ideas he had behind that handsomeness” 8.

  • Contemptuous of Others: He holds deep disdain for Shisui’s branch, believing their submissive behavior is “the sins of their ancestors” and that “no matter what they were thinking, they had to wear friendly smiles whenever they faced him” 3. He has no respect for the Hokage, considering him “unimportant” in the grand scheme of his own ambitions 34. He also disdains Fugaku’s indecisiveness, noting that “Fugaku underestimated the Uchiha clan’s situation” and that his “indecision” allowed Qi to rise 1.

  • Pragmatic and Amoral: Qi adopts a “fear the mighty, not the virtuous” philosophy 21. He sees the commoners as a race that responds only to power, not virtue. He has no compunction about manipulating the public’s ignorance for his own gain, as when he uses villagers’ lack of historical knowledge to sow doubt 12. He views going to the battlefield as “only a fool would want that” and believes his proper role is “sitting in Konoha and directing the course of the war” while tricking others into dying 11.

  • Charismatic but Detached: Despite his isolation, Qi commands fierce loyalty. His followers in the Shinsengumi demonstrate “unity, discipline, and formidable appearance” 21. Elder Michiyo unconditionally supports Qi because of his “false justice” and ability to “conjure up more clansmen,” and would “tear their entire family apart” for speaking against Qi 38. Later, Nanga ninja openly regard him as the god of all gods, while Sunflower’s worship directly strengthens his divine power 149 159. Yet Qi remains emotionally detached, treating even gods as pieces on a board 162.

  • Ambitious and Myth-Minded: Qi increasingly seeks to create myths rather than merely win political struggles. He aspires to make the Uchiha “above gods,” recognizes that faith and narrative can establish godhood, and deliberately creates new myths for Nanga 149 150. His creation of four Chaos gods from the Box of Ultimate Bliss reflects his willingness to reshape religion and reality to establish his own pantheon 163.

Abilities

Cheat System

Uchiha Qi’s primary ability is a card-drawing gacha cheat that allows him to summon living, breathing ninja from other anime worlds 3. The cards are divided into four tiers corresponding to strength and Sharingan progression:

  • Green Cards: Genin-level with a single tomoe. Their ceiling is special jonin or ANBU; they receive no personal names and are simply given the Uchiha surname 2.
  • Blue Cards: Chunin-level with two tomoe.
  • Purple Cards: Jonin-level with three tomoe. These are named, renowned figures from their original worlds and become elite jonin after receiving a pair of three-tomoe Sharingan upon summoning 2 3.
  • Orange Cards: Kage-level with Mangekyo Sharingan. Qi initially drew no orange card, but later anticipates obtaining orange cards as a major future increase in power 2 3 125.

The summoning process works through a system of gacha pulls. Qi accumulates summoning scrolls via daily check-ins, allowing him to perform a ten-pull roughly once a month 3. A ten-pull guarantees at least one purple card 2. Qi performed 240 pulls over nearly two years without obtaining a single orange card, leading him to believe that a hundred-pull, requiring a full year of saving, was necessary to guarantee an orange-tier result 2 20. He therefore decided to pull only once per year from chapter 20 onward to unlock higher-end combat power and access missions that require an orange card—missions that offer rich rewards otherwise unobtainable 20.

The cheat also includes a point exchange system. By assigning summoned ninja to complete system missions, Qi earns points that can be exchanged for resources and materials 3. The missions themselves are not dangerous but mandate the use of at least one purple card, multiple purples, or an orange card to undertake them 3. This point exchange allowed Qi to develop a desolate branch area into a thriving community in less than two years, forcing Uchiha Fugaku to acknowledge his faction 3.

All summoned ninja come with a clear mental imprint ensuring loyalty to “Lord Uchiha Qi,” a feature Qi relies on heavily 5. Despite the summons’ origin, these ninja are not static; their strength can be cultivated, though card rarity limits their potential 2.

Personal Combat Prowess

Uchiha Qi’s personal combat ability was initially extremely weak. He awakened only a single-tomoe Sharingan and possessed the physical constitution of a “cannon fodder” ninja—roughly chunin level at best 2 32. Multiple sources describe him as “as weak as a low-level player just leaving the novice village,” with “no potential for growth” 2 32. His own strength was so mediocre that he relied entirely on summoned subordinates for protection and deterrence 2 36.

Because of this vulnerability, Qi surrounded himself with a powerful guard detail of at least three elite jonin-level ninja at all times. His guards included:

  • Uchiha Gen (Grandma Gen): A former Kage-level ninja, now elderly, with Ninjutsu S+, Taijutsu C, and Genjutsu S+, who fills gaps in defense 2.
  • Uchiha Oboro: A failure at taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu, all F-rank, but equipped with the unique Eyes of Rupture that can break ninjutsu and a silence effect on her three-tomoe Sharingan, which Fugaku mistook for a Mangekyō. She acts as a “nuclear deterrent” but is so fragile that she is more of a weapon Qi must protect than a reliable guardian 2.
  • Uchiha Josuke: A jonin with three-tomoe Sharingan who is immune to most physical damage thanks to his Expansion Technique and peculiar Meat Bag Technique. Despite being lecherous and careless, he is a natural nemesis of taijutsu users 2.

Qi also has over twenty additional elite jonin-level purple-card subordinates and more than sixty chunin-level blue-card ninja, forming the backbone of his faction 2. However, even this force was not invincible; Qi remained cautious of Konoha’s Kage-level combatants and other major clans 2.

Qi later abandoned exclusive dependence on guards and sought direct enhancement. After using the Power of the Heavenly God, he lost his vision and considered creating Zero-Tails in the Land of Rivers to increase his strength 52. Hyoma’s successful surgery—combining Kaguya cells with a Zero-Tails seal—restored Hyoma’s sight and improved his physical capabilities, prompting Qi to order preparations for his own surgery 70. He also ordered Red Eye transplants for rogue ninja willing to join Nanga 70.

By the Land of Rain campaign, Qi had acquired Sage Mode, Observation Haki, Kagerou-derived poison immunity, and Tailed Beast power 138 139. He used Observation Haki to evade Hanzo’s surprise attack, restrained Hanzo’s summoned beast Ibuse with Tailed Beast power, and personally finished Hanzo with a powerful punch 139 140. His later divine power allowed him to fight and separate the Evil God Buddha into different realms, while worship from Sunflower resonated with and strengthened his divine realm 159. After defeating Buddha, he was recognized as a god by the wider ninja world 162.

Divine and Mythological Powers

Qi’s later abilities are inseparable from faith, myth, sacred objects, and divine authority.

  • Imperial God Blade: The blade shattered Qi’s shrine and flew to him, granting him immense power to summon yokai 49.
  • Hyakki Yagyo: Qi can summon a Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, which he used to suppress a god-like statue formed from four merged Susanoo 49.
  • Power of the Heavenly God: A high-level divine ocular power that cost Qi his vision when used 52.
  • Divine Realm Manipulation: Qi can use divine power to separate god-like entities into distinct realms; his divine realm can resonate with the outer world through believers’ prayers 159.
  • God Creation: Using the Box of Ultimate Bliss, Qi created Tzeentch, Khorne, Nurgle, and Slaanesh from human emotions and granted them divine authorities 163.
  • Faith Empowerment: The worship of believers, particularly Sunflower, can directly empower Qi and amplify the influence of his divine realm 159.

Command and Strategy

Qi compensates for his original personal weakness through shrewd command and strategic use of his subordinates. His tactical approach emphasizes leveraging each summoned ninja’s unique abilities, resource management, and long-term political maneuvering.

  • Tactical Deployment of Subordinates: Qi assigns his ninja to guard duty, system missions, and territorial development. He uses Oboro’s silence effect as a bluff to deter Fugaku, making it seem as though she has Mangekyō 2. He also plans to use Danzo’s assassination attempt to expose Danzo’s past actions, stripping him of advantages 19.
  • Economic and Territorial Strategy: Qi encloses wild lands, establishes trading posts, hot springs, and refugee centers around Konoha, aiming to control all trade routes and make Konoha an “inner city” 34. He plans to create a mission hub to rival the Bounty Exchange 34. In the Land of Rain, he recognizes that accessible chakra training and ninja tools such as Needle Rain are essential for broadly raising Nanga’s hard power 139.
  • Political Manipulation: Qi sees through the Third Hokage’s “two peaches kill three warriors” scheme and devises counter-strategies, such as recruiting the Red Eye Clan to counter the Hyuga 20. He mobilizes the Uchiha clan without causing alarm, surprising Danzo and Sarutobi 22. He also orchestrates a military parade to intimidate the Hokage and buy time for the clan’s growth 50.
  • Long-Term Planning: Qi saves system missions and card pulls for maximum effect, planning to pull an orange card once a year to unlock high-reward missions and gain Kage-level combatants 20. He coordinates with the Iga and Koga clans, establishing academies and dojos to train wandering ninja 34. He initiates a religious movement to test theories about the Sharingan’s divine nature 35.
  • Expansionism: Qi directs Nanga’s partition plan for Konoha while refusing to prioritize the Daimyo Mansion’s internal disputes over Nanga’s interests 127. He later orders a joint operation to restore the Land of Whirlpools, take the Land of Sea, blockade the Land of Water, and secure Summoning Island’s sealing technology 129.
  • Risk Management: Aware of his own fragility, Qi initially avoids direct danger, uses subordinates as buffers, and maintains a posture of strength that deters open conflict 2. When the Hokage tries to isolate him by turning the clan against him, Qi preemptively moves his branch to the Naka Shrine, creating distance and preserving his power base 22 36.

Despite his strategic acumen, Qi’s methods are not flawless. His reliance on the system’s loyalty imprint leaves him isolated from genuine bonds, and he struggles with the betrayal of orphaned Uchiha who are turned against him by the Hokage 5. Nonetheless, his ability to amass and direct a formidable force of summoned ninja, develop broad-based military power, and reshape faith into divine authority makes him a major power beyond Konoha’s established order 129 162 163.

Power Progression

Timeframe Milestone Significance
Initial days First gacha summon (ten-pull) Uchiha Qi, a war orphan from a disgraced branch, discovers his cheat ability to summon named ninjas from other worlds. The first ten-pull, which he executes in terror expecting death or exile, produces dozens of clansmen with Uchiha eyes. This single event transforms him from a powerless outcast into the founder of a new branch, providing the foundation for all future power. 3
First year Consolidation of summoned forces (100+ pulls) Over the first year, Qi performs roughly 120 pulls, obtaining his first twenty purple-card jonin with three-tomoe Sharingan, along with sixty chunin and over a hundred genin. These ninjas form his guard detail—Uchiha Gen, Uchiha Oboro, and Uchiha Josuke—giving him the de facto military strength of a major clan faction. Qi becomes the most powerful figure under Clan Head Fugaku, earning a seat at the clan council. 2
By end of second year Branch transformed from wasteland to thriving settlement Using system missions to exchange points for resources and training methods, Qi develops his remote, desolate branch into a prosperous area within two years. Fugaku is forced to acknowledge the branch’s existence, and Qi’s faction now controls one-fifth of the Uchiha population—a unified bloc of ninjas that outnumbers any other single faction unless the rest of the clan unites under Fugaku. 3
Second year (around Minato’s return) First confirmed Mangekyo awakening (Tenshen) During a spar with Minato Namikaze, Uchiha Tenshen—an old Iga ninja summoned from a purple card—awakens his Mangekyo Sharingan. Her dojutsu, Saha World, grants double damage on all attacks; combined with her bottomless chakra, one Mangekyo functions as two. Tenshen’s awakening is unique: it occurs through a Zen-like vow to carry on Hatake Sakumo’s will, not through tragedy. This gives Qi his first genuine Mangekyo user and a new theory about divine faith. 28 29 35
Mid second year Reputation of having two pairs of Mangekyo Minato reports to Sarutobi that he has seen an Uchiha with Mangekyo—likely Oboro’s blue three-tomoe eyes, which Fugaku had initially mistaken for a Mangekyo—and Tenshen’s confirmed awakening. Sarutobi concludes that Qi possesses at least two pairs of Mangekyo, and possibly a third. This radically escalates the Hokage’s perception of the threat Qi poses, forcing Sarutobi to begin preparing countermeasures and appeasing Qi with scrolls of Uchiha history. 33
Late second year Oboro’s genuine Mangekyo awakening Qi deliberately deceives Oboro into believing her lover Gennosuke has died. In her genuine grief, she prays to the Future Buddha and awakens a true Mangekyo with two abilities: Satsuma Jambudvipa (reality alteration at the cost of one eye) and a second unnamed technique. This confirms Qi’s hypothesis that Mangekyo awakening requires extreme negative emotion combined with sincere prayer to a god. Oboro, who occupied two purple-card slots, proves to have the highest potential among Qi’s followers. 40
Late second year Non-tragedy Mangekyo method revealed Tenshen discloses to Fugaku that she awoke her Mangekyo without bloodshed or sacrifice—through devout faith and a solemn vow. This shatters the clan’s centuries-old belief that Mangekyo can only be gained through unbearable tragedy. Fugaku, who has secretly possessed a Mangekyo, becomes excited at the possibility of a sustainable method to produce multiple Mangekyo users without destroying the clan’s population. 47
Late second year Fugaku reveals his Mangekyo and clan power display After visiting the Naka Shrine and witnessing dozens of Uchiha manifesting Fear Armor and Susanoo, Fugaku finally embraces and showcases his own Mangekyo. The Uchiha clan collectively demonstrates multiple Susanoo and Fear Armor abilities across the mountains, overturning Fugaku’s worldview that only three-tomoe users could use advanced techniques. Qi invites Fugaku to reveal his eyes publicly. 48
Late second year Chunin-level awakenings: Johnny, Joseph, and Fear Armor As a result of Qi’s Sharingan research and the spread of faith, lower-ranked Uchiha Chunin begin awakening unique powers. Johnny gains Shuten-doji Six Paths and Joseph awakens Gekokujō. Many Chunin also learn to use Fear Armor, a smaller-scale Susanoo that enhances strength and defense, effectively making them Special Jonin. This dramatically increases the clan’s mid-tier combat power. 41
Late second year Alliance with Orochimaru and acquisition of summoning scroll Hotaru retrieves a summoning scroll from Orochimaru, who proves unexpectedly cooperative due to his uncontrollable affectionate feelings for her, triggered by her natural snake affinity. Qi leverages this weakness to convince Orochimaru to join his side. Orochimaru agrees to provide sealing charms and cooperate with Hotaru, adding a Kage-level asset to Qi’s network. 40 43 44
Third year Imperial God Blade and Hyakki Yagyo The Imperial God Blade shatters Qi’s shrine and grants him the ability to summon yokai. During the Naka Shrine conflict, he deploys Hyakki Yagyo against a god-like statue formed by four merged Susanoo, precipitating a mythical battle involving Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Yamata no Orochi. 49
Post-Naka Shrine Loss of sight and Zero-Tails enhancement plan The Power of the Heavenly God leaves Qi blind. Rather than accept this weakness, he begins planning to create Zero-Tails in the Land of Rivers and seek artificial enhancement. 52
Nanga expansion era Kaguya-cell and Zero-Tails surgery After Hyoma successfully regains his sight and strengthens his body through Kaguya cells and a Zero-Tails seal, Qi orders preparations for equivalent surgery on himself. He also authorizes Red Eye transplants for rogue ninja joining Nanga, expanding his faction’s ocular resources. 70
Nanga expansion era Sage Mode, Observation Haki, and Tailed Beast power In the Land of Rain, Qi reveals poison immunity from Kagerou’s blood, Sage Mode, Observation Haki, and Tailed Beast power. He avoids Hanzo’s ambush, restrains Ibuse, and proves capable of personally overwhelming and killing the former “Demigod.” 138 139 140
Divine era Divine realm and defeat of the Evil God Buddha Qi uses divine power to fight the Evil God Buddha and separate it into different realms. Sunflower’s prayers empower him, causing his divine realm to resonate with the outer world. 159
Divine era Ascension as the Uchiha guardian god After defeating Buddha, Qi descends from the sky as a god. The ninja world celebrates and worships the Uchiha guardian god, while Qi establishes a new divine portrait and treats rival gods as chess pieces. 162
Divine era Creation of the Chaos Four Gods Qi uses the Box of Ultimate Bliss and human emotions as foundations to create Tzeentch, Khorne, Nurgle, and Slaanesh, granting them divine authorities and beginning the construction of his own pantheon. 163

Relationships

Uchiha Fugaku

1 The relationship between Uchiha Qi and the clan head, Uchiha Fugaku, is defined by mutual wariness, strategic silence, and a fundamental disconnect in their understanding of each other. From Qi’s perspective, Fugaku’s greatest asset is his indecisiveness. Qi feels a sense of gratitude toward this trait, believing that if Fugaku were a more decisive and forceful leader, Qi himself would never have risen to power within the clan. 1 36 Fugaku, for his part, views Qi with a mixture of confusion and defensive distance. He has been forced to accept Qi’s growing power because it is a fait accompli—Qi controls a significant portion of the clan’s ninja strength—but he does not truly understand Qi’s motives. 2 3 While Fugaku hopes to integrate the Uchiha into Konoha through patient networking with future leaders like Minato, Qi operates as an independent power broker, questioning the village’s very political structure. 18

Fugaku often finds Qi’s actions baffling. He cannot reconcile Qi’s willingness to provoke the village and kill Root agents with what he perceives as Qi’s fear of going to the battlefield. 10 Furthermore, Fugaku has ceded significant influence to Qi to a degree that he seems not to fully grasp. The other village leaders understand that Qi’s faction is distinct from Fugaku’s leadership, a reality only Fugaku seems reluctant to admit. 31 Their interactions are rarely direct; Fugaku attempts to use his authority as clan head to steer Qi, but Qi consistently subverts these efforts, forcing Fugaku to simply “act as a shield” rather than exert control. 5 10 By the time Qi turns his attention to Zero-Tails and Nanga’s wider ambitions, he is openly indifferent to Fugaku’s departures and plans, treating clan affairs as secondary to his own objectives 52.

Uchiha Itachi

18 Itachi Uchiha, even as a prodigy, views Uchiha Qi with profound suspicion and outright contempt. He considers Qi a coward who uses eloquent speeches to hide his fear of the battlefield, and therefore a threat to the clan’s integrity. 18 19 Itachi firmly believes that Qi’s actions—such as questioning the righteousness of the war—are designed not for the good of the clan or the village, but solely for his own protection. To Itachi, Qi is a dishonest actor who “deceives everyone” with false rhetoric, and he is determined to restrain Qi’s influence. 50

As Qi’s power grows and his schemes become bolder, Itachi’s frustration turns to fury. He becomes openly dissatisfied with Qi’s “flippant attitude” and advocates for using Konoha’s power to protect the Uchiha, even if that requires sacrificing Qi. 50 This stance puts Itachi at odds not only with Qi but also with Fugaku, who, though conflicted, still values Qi’s opinion. Qi, in turn, dismisses Itachi as a “foolish little brother” 50 and criticizes his naivety, noting that Itachi foolishly counts on others, like Shisui, to oppose Qi on his behalf 19.

Uchiha Shisui

3 Qi’s relationship with Shisui’s branch of the family is marked by a sharp, historical animosity that Qi feels is justified by the “sins of their ancestors.” 3 Shisui, a pacifist and a prodigy, leads a branch that is weak in influence and politically isolated. Qi holds this weakness in disdain, believing that Shisui’s lineage is friendless both within the village and the clan because of their past choices. 2 Shisui’s clansmen, in turn, feel a deep sense of imbalance and resentment when they see Qi’s power. They think it is unfair that a man of Qi’s age can command such a vast and loyal following while their own leader, Shisui, remains submissive to the Hokage. 2

Despite his public friendliness, Qi views this submission as a fatal flaw, considering Shisui a “lapdog” of the Hokage. 2 In Qi’s mind, the dynamic is simple: he is the boss, and Shisui’s branch must accept whatever treatment he offers—be it coldness or a rebuke—because they “lack even the courage to refuse.” 3

Minato Namikaze

11 30 The relationship between Qi and the future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, is one of strained cordiality and fundamental incompatibility. Qi deliberately distances himself from Minato, emphasizing Minato’s outsider status as an Uzumaki by calling him a “matrilocal son-in-law.” 11 This distancing is rooted in what Qi describes as a deep-seated prejudice against the office of the Hokage itself—a memory of the system that makes him unable to get along with any one of them. 30

For Minato’s part, his initial goodwill toward the Uchiha is quickly eroded by his interactions with Qi. 36 After Qi clashes with Danzo, Minato is left with a “negative opinion of the Uchiha” and is willing to obey the Hokage’s gag order to stonewall Fugaku. 36 In a later confrontation, Minato sees Qi’s disregard for the lives of rogue ninjas and concludes that the Uchiha’s leaders “view human life as nothing more than blades of grass,” confirming his distrust for them. 30 Their brief interactions solidify a wall between them; he confirms to himself that they are from “two different worlds.” 30

Third Hokage (Sarutobi Hiruzen)

5 17 34 The animosity between Uchiha Qi and the Third Hokage is visceral, strategic, and all-consuming for the elder. Hiruzen harbors an inexplicable, deep-seated loathing for Qi that goes beyond his general distrust of the Uchiha clan. 17 He views Qi’s public speeches questioning the war as a threat to his authority and the very stability of Konoha. 18

Their conflict is a cold war of schemes and manipulation. The Hokage spends vast political capital trying to frame, contain, and destroy Qi, viewing him as the sole target of his final term. 34 36 39 He orchestrates a plan to turn the Uchiha clan elders against Qi by playing on their desires and promises, attempts to use the orphans Qi protects against him, and even considers allowing a clan war to break out to weigh the true strength of both Qi and Danzo. 22 36 39 Qi, however, rarely sees the Third Hokage as a primary target. He views the man as an obstacle to be outpaced or outmaneuvered, saying that to follow the Hokage’s rhythm is to “forever compose music for someone else’s score.” 34 40 Qi uses Hotaru’s intelligence abilities to know every one of the Hokage’s plans, making the village defenseless against his manipulation 40.

Danzo

5 36 Qi’s interactions with Danzo are defined by direct, physical confrontation and strategic exploitation. Danzo, overconfident in Root’s strength, is one of the first major Konoha figures to directly challenge Qi’s faction. 5 He sends Root members to interrogate Qi’s new Uchiha, a move that backfires catastrophically when his entire squad is killed. 5 Fugaku later correctly surmises that “Danzo must have suffered a significant loss” in their clash. 36

Rather than fearing Danzo, Qi sees him as a useful pawn. He plans to stage an assassination attempt by Danzo and use it as the perfect excuse to expose Danzo’s past actions, stripping him of all his political advantages. 19 Danzo represents a reckless, brutish force that Qi can manipulate, seeing him as a tool to be used to muddy the waters and then discarded when convenient. 19 34

Orochimaru

43 40 The relationship between Qi and Orochimaru is built on a foundation of cold manipulation, with Qi acting as the dominating strategist. Qi identifies a crucial weakness in the legendary Sannin: Orochimaru’s unexpected, affectionate feelings for Qi’s subordinate, Hotaru, feelings he cannot control due to her natural affinity for snakes. 43 Qi exploits this “established setting” to force Orochimaru to cooperate with his side. 43

Their later negotiations show that Qi does not accept vague promises of knowledge. When Orochimaru offers to leave his ninjutsu and experience to Hotaru, Qi rejects the offer in favor of tangible benefits, specifically Orochimaru’s sealing charms 44. Orochimaru remains a powerful but carefully managed asset in Qi’s network rather than a fully trusted subordinate 43 44. Eventually, Orochimaru leaves Konoha to attend to Tsunade and the young Daimyo of the Land of Fields, leaving behind a box that hints at his resurrection research 114.

Oboro

2 40 Qi’s relationship with Oboro is initially that of a handler with a powerful but flawed weapon. Oboro is a love-struck failure in standard combat skills but possesses the Eyes of Rupture and a powerful Mangekyō Sharingan 2. Qi uses her as his ultimate deterrent against Fugaku, a secret nuclear option, but cannot use her lightly because her entire heart is set on her lover, Uchiha Gennosuke 2.

This reliance on her emotional state becomes a problem when Qi needs her to power up. He orchestrates an elaborate, cruel trick to make her believe Gennosuke has died, successfully forcing her to awaken the Mangekyō 40. He then reveals the truth to her, and she becomes carefree again, his weapon successfully sharpened but his manipulation of her emotions laid bare 40. In later years, Oboro’s relationship with Qi becomes more casual and familiar; she eagerly listens when he explains historical and mythological theories, suggesting greater personal comfort despite their unequal dynamic 103.

Hotaru

19 40 43 Qi’s relationship with Hotaru is that of a master to his most effective and versatile intelligence asset. Hotaru, an intelligence officer, is completely loyal and highly professional, reporting to Qi on Fugaku’s activities without question 19. Qi considers her his most strategically valuable tool, using her butterfly-spy ability to know the Third Hokage’s every move, rendering the village’s secrets transparent to him 40.

This relationship is also one of manipulation. Qi sends her on an unusual mission to acquire a summoning scroll from Orochimaru, making her feel awkward and suspicious of his true intentions 40. She becomes the bait in his plan to capture Orochimaru, and Qi is aware that her presence will cause the Sannin to feel “uncontrollable, affectionate feelings” which he can exploit 43. Nevertheless, Qi later expresses concern that Hotaru should become a scientist and avoid the battlefield, revealing a limited protective impulse beneath his utilitarian treatment of her 44.

Kagerou

134 138 Kagerou becomes one of Qi’s closest personal relationships after confessing that jealousy over the women around him had motivated her actions during the failed meeting with Pakura. She explains that she wanted an opportunity to leave, fulfill a task for Qi, and prove herself worthy of standing at his side 134. Qi responds to her confession with a romantic moment, deepening their relationship 134.

Kagerou’s blood later grants Qi immunity to Hanzo’s poison gas during the Land of Rain campaign, making her both an intimate companion and a source of practical protection 138. Her place beside Qi contrasts with his earlier isolation and habitual treatment of followers as tools, though their relationship remains shaped by possessiveness, ambition, and service to his broader goals 134.

Sunflower

150 159 Sunflower is an exceptionally devoted follower whose belief in Qi can temporarily elevate her to special-grade strength 150. Qi interacts with her playfully and deliberately boosts her confidence, recognizing that her faith magnifies her ability 150. Her worship later becomes so intense that her prayers empower Qi directly, causing his divine realm to resonate with the outer world 159.

Qi values the strength faith gives him but remains concerned that Sunflower’s fanaticism may create unknown and dangerous consequences 159. Their relationship embodies Qi’s broader transformation from political leader into a god sustained by myth and belief.
