Satan's words left Gohan at a loss for what to say; this guy was truly a bit naive.

Shaking his head, he was still wondering how to bring up the Kaio-ken to Kakarot.

Suddenly, a loud crash erupted not far away.

BOOM!

The machine used to measure a contestant's punching power had been smashed to pieces by a single blow from Vegeta. Vegeta had no interest in putting on a show, and his temper was as explosive as ever.

The instant he pulverized the strength-testing device, the staff and everyone else nearby stared at each other in shock.

They couldn't believe that anyone could possess such terrifying power in a single punch.

"What's going on? Did he just blow up the measuring machine?"

"Who is this guy? Destroying the machine like that—is he trying to challenge Satan?"

"Look, he's glaring at Satan with such hatred; it looks like he's here to cause trouble for him!"

Feeling the weight of Vegeta's strength, Satan trembled all over, nearly wetting himself, and couldn't help but hide behind Gohan.

He was completely stunned by Vegeta's terrifying power.

"Is... is this guy here to cause trouble for me? Is he trying to eye my world champion title? Gohan, you have to help me stop him!"

Satan was really overthinking things; Vegeta had only snapped because of him and Kakarot.

Unfortunately, Vegeta had no idea that this Martial Arts Tournament was about to take a turn for the worse.

Ignoring Satan, Gohan scanned the area for the other two figures—the brothers controlled by Babidi.

They had come here to absorb energy!

Their target had to be Saiyan energy; besides Kakarot, he himself was also being watched, so they were definitely hiding somewhere in the crowd.

He swept his gaze across the area but still couldn't spot them, though he was certain they were among the people.

"Gohan, I get the feeling you've been distracted since we got here. What are you looking at?"

Son Goku looked on with curiosity; he could tell Gohan was preoccupied by the cold, distant look in his eyes.

Before Gohan could answer, a figure flashed by in the distance, catching his eye. He finally spotted the two brothers within the crowd.

The energy-collecting bottle was still in their hands, but before he could step forward, Son Goku grabbed him and started walking away. "Alright, don't think too much about it. The Supreme Kai must have other business here."

"Let's go get something to eat!"

Son Goku had been impatient for the pre-tournament feast; as a man who lived to eat, he wanted to take full advantage of having a physical body to enjoy a good meal.

He dragged Gohan off to eat, and being pulled away by Kakarot caused Gohan to lose sight of the two men.

Shaking his head, he decided he would just wait until the matches began.

The tournament bracket was released shortly after.

After finishing their meal, Gohan accompanied Kakarot to check the matchups.

They discovered that there had been some changes from the original plan, as a few participants had dropped out and Videl wasn't competing this time either.

The matchups had shifted, and his opponent was now Vegeta!

What's more, it was the very first fight on the bracket.

He couldn't help but feel like someone was pulling strings to make him face Vegeta right out of the gate.

This would be their second time clashing, wouldn't it?

Beside him, Kakarot laughed heartily upon seeing that Gohan and Vegeta were the first match; he was clearly the most excited of them all.

"Gohan, you lucky guy! You get to fight Vegeta right off the bat. Wow, I'm actually jealous of you."

"I really wish I could take your place!"

In truth, Son Goku was very eager to spar with Vegeta, but because other events had intervened, he hadn't been able to pay him any mind.

That was exactly why Vegeta had gone off the rails later on.

Now that he had secured the first match against Gohan, the corners of Vegeta's mouth curled up into an arrogant smirk.

This was likely the outcome he had been hoping for; his gaze, locked onto Gohan, was incredibly intense.

The current Vegeta was obsessed with nothing but the fight.

Gohan, however, didn't think this battle would be allowed to proceed; the two men controlled by Babidi were right there.

If they really started fighting, there was a high chance their energy would be drained on the spot.

But if he told Vegeta about this, Vegeta probably wouldn't take it seriously.

Vegeta had waited a long time for this tournament to fight alongside Kakarot and against him; his eyes were filled with a manic, battle-hungry fervor.

He wouldn't care about anything else—even if the Earth were destroyed, he would still want to fight!

With the opponents confirmed, the original announcer stepped onto the stage to announce the participants for the first match.

The announcer, having seen Son Goku and the others, had been looking forward to this battle for a long time.

He immediately shouted with enthusiasm, "We invite contestant Son Gohan and Vegeta to the stage! Our very first match features two heavyweights!"

"I have waited far too long for this commentary. I believe this opening fight will be absolutely scorching. Let us look forward to the performance of these two contestants!"

As soon as the words left his lips, Vegeta was already standing on the ring, his gaze fixed upon Gohan.

Looking over with a serious expression, Gohan had no choice but to step onto the ring. It was a pity he hadn't mastered the Kaio-ken yet; he had originally intended to wait until he had mastered it to spar with Vegeta, but it seemed Vegeta couldn't wait any longer.

Noticing him standing before him, Vegeta let out a cold snort and said indifferently, "Kid, this is the second time. Last time, I lost to you because I was careless."

"However, it won't be like that this time. I will defeat you, and then I will go on to defeat Kakarot!"

Gohan couldn't help but ask, "Vegeta, haven't you noticed that there are quite a few special spectators at this Martial Arts Tournament?"

He swept his gaze toward the distance, where the East Supreme Kai stood with his subordinates, wearing a "wicked" smile.

There were also the two men controlled by Babidi standing to the side, watching like tigers eyeing their prey!

It was impossible for Vegeta not to know about these factions, yet he ignored them entirely, clenching his fists as his energy continued to surge.

This blatant display left the East Supreme Kai in the distance looking astonished; he had never expected Vegeta's energy to be so formidable.

The two brothers controlled by Babidi had their eyes light up, looking over with excitement as their focus shifted instantly from Gohan to Vegeta!

Gohan understood; it seemed Babidi had changed his target. This time, the one he intended to drain energy from was Vegeta.

Because the energy Vegeta was currently releasing was so immense, it had caused Babidi to shift his focus.

Vegeta unleashed his full energy without restraint, and the intense pressure caused the entire arena to tremble.

In the spectator stands, Yamcha and the others had their expressions change drastically, completely stunned by Vegeta's energy. Not only was Vegeta stronger than before, but it was clear he was playing for keeps this time.

Was he planning to use his full strength right from the start?

"Bulma, is that guy Vegeta going to destroy the Earth?"

Bulma's expression was also one of worry. Although she was Vegeta's wife, she really wasn't sure about his state of mind right now.

"I... I don't think so. Vegeta still knows his limits!"

Oolong, however, was trembling all over, unable to stop shaking from fear.

Bulma glared at Oolong. Even she couldn't be certain if Vegeta would act recklessly now.

Vegeta releasing his energy completely was indeed different from before; he truly considered him an opponent worthy of his full power.

When it came to battle, especially against a powerful enemy, Vegeta truly held nothing back.

He went straight into his Super Vegeta transformation!

The entire martial arts arena nearly went haywire again. The announcer was almost blown away by the gale, but he persisted in his commentary, watching Vegeta's transformation.

His mouth hung open in shock.

"Contestant Vegeta, contestant Vegeta has transformed into a golden-haired superman! I can feel that the energy radiating from contestant Vegeta is terrifying!"

"Contestant Vegeta's power is just too terrifying!"

Gohan frowned as he watched Vegeta transform into Super Vegeta, saying casually, "Uncle Vegeta, you've transformed into Super Vegeta right from the start. You really aren't holding anything back, and there are still plenty of spectators here!"

As his expression shifted, the East Supreme Kai had already approached him, arriving right by his side.

He spoke directly.

"Son Goku, right? We originally thought Babidi's target this time was Gohan, but now, Babidi has changed his direction."

"He will likely choose Vegeta. Is there any way to stop Vegeta from releasing his energy so recklessly? I'm afraid Babidi's subordinates might make their move first!"

Son Goku gave a wry smile. Looking at the situation ahead, he knew that even he would find it difficult to stop them.

He shook his head and said, "I can't stop a guy like Vegeta. Besides, after training these past few days, Vegeta's strength has grown even stronger than I predicted."

"Especially Gohan. Gohan's growth has exceeded my imagination. I'm afraid that with my current strength, I might not even be able to suppress him!"

The East Supreme Kai's expression turned to one of astonishment. He had not expected that even Son Goku, who had defeated Frieza, would be unable to restrain the two of them.
