Background / History

Gohan’s consciousness transmigrates into his younger self shortly before the Cell Games. Recognizing that the threats ahead exceed his existing Super Saiyan 2 strength, he abandons the passive academic path associated with his former life and resolves to train seriously for Earth’s defense. He receives the Lottery Enhancement System, which immediately strengthens his Super Saiyan forms and grants Destructo Disc and Ultra Instinct. 1

He begins his new regimen under Piccolo, then turns Goten and Trunks into additional training partners. Rather than relying solely on raw power, Gohan builds a combat style around Ultra Instinct’s predictive movement, lethal energy techniques, clones, simulations, and increasingly extreme Kaio-ken multipliers. 2 3 6 23 26

During the World Martial Arts Tournament and Babidi conflict, Gohan rises from being inferior to Vegeta to defeating Dabura in less than a second.
