Over those fifty years, it had weathered several storms, yet still stood unshaken. Not a single resident had perished in any of those earth-shattering crises. It was, beyond doubt, a land of peace and contentment.
Over those fifty years, all manner of delicacies, entertainments and diversions, and brand-new inventions had continuously appeared here, then spread across every corner of the Prime Material Plane, more or less driving the progress of the entire plane.
Combrona had never been here before. In his youth, he had been a black-hearted shyster lawyer, too busy making money to spare the time. Later, he had worried about his wife and been unwilling to travel far, remaining near Mir City all along.

Each had been built in a different shape: some were a pair of wheat stalks, some a gear, some a mountain peak, some a blaze of fire... Within their varied frames, every one was a gateway formed of pure white light, leading to bustling cities throughout the Prime Material Plane.
