Before Sui Xiong transmigrated, there had been a famous movie line online, roughly following the format: "I rendered meritorious service for XX! I bled for XX! You can't treat me like this! I want to see XX!"—followed by "Drag him out," and then a gunshot.
This bit had appeared in quite a few films. Sui Xiong did not know where it had originally come from; he only remembered seeing many different versions of it, from dragging a dog around a street corner to the plot death of some NPC in a game. It fit all of them remarkably well.
Hog Bell's situation was quite suited to that line too.
If he had been able to speak, perhaps he really would have shouted something like, "I rendered meritorious service for the Empire! I bled for His Majesty! You can't treat me like this! I want to see His Majesty!"
Unfortunately, Sui Xiong had not let him speak, so there was no chance to follow those words with "Drag him out"... Besides, "drag him out" did not suit a guillotine, and there could not be a gunshot at the end either. Upon careful consideration, it was rather less than perfect.
As he thought this, his face remained icy and expressionless, but inwardly, he was bursting with laughter.
Meanwhile, beside the guillotine blade, a fierce battle invisible to mortal eyes was taking place.
Hog Bell was, after all, a demigod-level powerhouse, one who had cultivated immortality. Even with his body slain, his soul still possessed tremendous power. He was by no means an ordinary person who could be casually hauled away by hellish emissaries.
