Background / History

Yu Kun came to the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect's Heaven Dou City business branch with more than a dozen Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan disciples. Acting for his grandson Yu Huan, whom Ning Zha had crippled, he demanded that Ning Jing surrender the seven-year-old child to be executed. He threatened total hostility between the two sects if Ning Zha was not handed over. 1

When Ning Zha exposed Yu Huan's attempted abduction of a flower seller and the killing of her father, Yu Kun dismissed the dead man as having died from fear and called his life cheap. He rejected Yin Suzhi's offer to exchange her own life for Ning Zha's and threatened retaliation not only against Ning Zha's family, but also against the girl Yu Huan had targeted. 1 2

Ning Zha's public suicide deprived Yu Kun of the execution and intimidation he had intended. Shocked and humiliated, Yu Kun declared the matter settled and withdrew with his disciples. 3
