Background

The Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts is a mantle rooted in the primordial world's resistance against unknown enemies. When the Primordial Great World was attacked and later split into the Vast Universe, Origin Universe, and Burial Emperor Battlefield, it gave birth to the Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts to oppose those enemies. The Burial Emperor Rules can alter the Heavenly Dao, but cannot erase this bloodline completely; it reappears during every Burial Emperor Era. 4698

The Previous Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts was defeated in large part because the Six-Clawed Evilheart Beast, once among his strongest subordinates, betrayed and ambushed him before defecting to the Five Heavenly Emperors. 2132 Fragments of the Previous Lord's consciousness and remains endured afterward, including a consciousness within a small bone and a skeletal claw later recovered by Sikong Jing. 1908 2269

Sikong Jing's succession initially provoked fury within the Ten Thousand Beasts Heavenly Prison: its imprisoned ferocious and divine beasts suspected that the Five Heavenly Emperors had chosen a human Lord in order to destroy them. 3 Their attitude changed after Sikong Jing nearly awakened his Beast Heart, with the Golden Divine Dragon declaring his talent beyond expectation. 161
