Artifact Incarnations and Recognition

Some Immortal Artifacts exhibit autonomous behavior or can manifest in humanoid form.

• The golden-armored Gate Guardians of the Maple Leaf Dynasty are Immortal Artifact incarnations of the Nine Provinces Divine Dynasty; they opened the passage after Liu Ruyan presented a token 230.
• The Moye Sword independently flew to Chen Changqing, bowed before him, and acknowledged him as master because of its resonance with the Ganjiang Sword 707.

Forging and Heavenly Tribulation

Forging a true Immortal Artifact can invoke an Immortal Artifact Heavenly Tribulation, in which the Heavenly Dao attempts to destroy the newly created treasure 805.

• Ouye Tiangong was an Immortal-level artifact master whose lifelong pursuit was forging Immortal Artifacts 494.
• He died while attempting to forge a treasure beyond the Immortal Artifact tier, as the process drew down a catastrophic heavenly tribulation 494.
• Chen Changqing forged the Dragon-Phoenix Jade Pendant and faced a nine-colored tribulation embodying nine fundamental laws 805 808.
• When Chen Changqing could no longer endure the final law alone, the pendant supplied dragon and phoenix power, allowing him to survive the tribulation 808.
• Long Ziyue determined that the completed pendant carried both dragon-phoenix protective power and a destructive remnant of Chaos Nirvana Divine Light 810.

History

Chen Changqing obtained his first confirmed Immortal Artifact, the Heaven-Stepping Ring, after entering a hidden cave following the death of the Rat Demon King. His black token merged with a second token within the cave, after which the ownerless ring accepted his essence blood and bound itself to him 91.

During the Hundred Dynasties War, Chu Tian revealed the Blood Prison Mad Blade against Chen Changqing. Chen countered with an Immortal Artifact formed by the fusion of the Heavenly Strike Sword and Thunder Flame Sword, then later claimed the Blood Prison Mad Blade after killing Chu Tian 287 288 321.

In the Immortal Mountain Secret Realm, another Heaven-Stepping inheritance token led Chen Changqing to the Dragon-Patterned Sky-Splitting Spear, a high-grade Immortal Artifact 368. He subsequently inherited the top-grade Haotian Hammer from Ouye Tiangong after completing the artifact master’s trials 494.

Chen Changqing later acquired the Ganjiang Sword from the Shu Mountain Sword Graveyard. The sword’s presence drew the Moye Sword to him during a conflict between True Lords Duanzui and Lieyue, resulting in Moye’s voluntary acknowledgment of him 674 707.

At the True Dragon Clan’s artifact-refining event, Chen Changqing personally forged the Dragon-Phoenix Jade Pendant into a low-grade Immortal Artifact and survived the heavenly tribulation it provoked 805 808.
