A moment ago, it had seemed fiercely hot, blazing down until his whole body heated up and sweat streamed without end.

Gavin had only just crawled out of bed, showered, and left his room when Winnie grabbed his arm and dragged him toward the main hall.
"Boss!"
Winnie said excitedly, her face practically glowing.
"It's snowing!"
"What?"
Gavin was genuinely stunned when he heard her.
He quickly broke into a long stride, following Winnie down the second-floor corridor toward the nearest rooftop terrace.
After only two turns, Gavin spotted the sentry by the window.
The sentry stood beside the second-floor terrace in slightly loose clothes, a rifle in his arms and his back to Gavin, gazing blankly out the window.
That absent-minded posture alone sent Gavin's thoughts wandering. He strode over, came up beside the sentry, and lightly patted his shoulder.
"This is Dallas's first snow, right? This year's first snowfall sure came early!"
Gavin said to the sentry.
Hearing Gavin, the sentry hurriedly turned around and saluted him.
When Gavin saw his face clearly, he pressed his lips together.

Gavin vaguely remembered his name, but that was all. Gavin was no genius; he did not have a photographic memory.
For now, Gavin waved a hand at Omar and smiled.
"Don't worry. I'm not correcting you over your sentry duties. I just wanted to share my happiness in this moment!"
With that, Gavin walked to the floor-to-ceiling window of the terrace and shoved open the extremely heavy glass doors, fully exposing the terrace to the
