A squad of giants walked through the wilderness, their expressions exceptionally grave.
They had already traveled some distance from the military camp.
At this location, they could encounter an attack from those evil Littlefolk at any moment.

They had suffered defeat after defeat from the very beginning.
If not for the Creator God's intervention during that time, their giant race might even have been driven to extinction.
Although they were no longer completely helpless, a single lapse in caution could still leave them ambushed by an elite Littlefolk squad.
Thinking of the giants captured by the Littlefolk, fear rose uncontrollably within them.
If they had a choice, they would not have wanted to come out either. But they had no choice. They were slaves, and slaves had no autonomy.
They could only be sent out to perform this dangerous work.
"Those damned Spiritfolk are lazy and slippery, hiding in the rear while making us—who can't fly and are so huge—come out here to stabilize the nodes," one giant muttered.
That complaint immediately drew a rebuke from the captain.
Yet judging from the expressions of the other giants around him, they all agreed with what he had said.
Then, movement suddenly appeared ahead.
Instantly, everyone in the squad became alert.
The captain at the front suddenly changed expression. Veins bulged around his eyes, and layers of glass-like crystal formed within them.
His vision changed at once. Hidden patterns seemed to emerge throughout his surroundings, and scene after scene appeared before his eyes.
Not far away, several Littlefolk knelt on the ground, their bodies smeared with red and green paint. They continuously chanted in a strange cadence, seemingly worshipping something.
