Su Wanqing was the youngest daughter of Emperor Su Gan and Consort De, Jiang Liyue. Raised as Princess Yunshu of Great Yu, she excelled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, and was considered Su Gan's most outstanding daughter. At eighteen, however, she was selected for a marriage alliance with the newly arrived Evergreen Saint Venerable, Lin Changqing. 14 15
