Dilos opened his eyes and began activating the superpower pendant at his waist—the wind-control pendant.

The pendant had been created primarily using the genes of Claden Matton, a superpowered individual captured in Central City. Once activated, it allowed Dilos to control the airflow around him, creating airwaves and even storms.

It was not as though Dilos had never considered using Storm Ororo's genes to create a superpower pendant. However, the more powerful a Mutant was, the stronger the corrosive properties of their genes and the harder they were to control. Even when fused into reinforced battle suits or superpower pendants, they could not grant the user precise control over the ability.

Take Magneto, for example. Dilos had once used his abilities through a reinforced battle suit. Not only had they been extremely difficult to control, but he could not use them at high intensity. Once the power output rose too high, it became difficult to control and could very easily cause massive destruction. He had also stubbornly tried using Ororo's abilities through a reinforced battle suit, with the same result.

However, the genes of Clyde Matton, whose superpowers came from dark energy, did not have this issue. His abilities were undoubtedly extremely powerful. Yet the key was that such powerful superpowers were relatively easy to control. Even after being integrated into reinforced battle suits and superpower pendants, they did not affect the user's control over the abilities.

With the unique power granted by the wind-control pendant, Dilos keenly sensed that he had formed a strange connection with the various gaseous particles contained in the air around him.

He rarely experienced this feeling, and it gave him a sensation utterly different from when he used reinforced battle suits and superpower pendants in the past.
