339. There Are Always the Most Idiots

"This hearing is primarily concerned with whether the actions of Mr. Dilos Sullivan and the Superpowered Guard Team he belongs to during the Gotham City rescue incident were as claimed."

At the very start of the hearing, Senator Stern, the chairman of this hearing, spoke first. "What this hearing requires is reason and fairness, so I ask all guests to think carefully before they speak."

As he reached the end, Senator Stern deliberately emphasized the final sentence word by word, his eyes constantly sweeping over the variously expressive, brain-dead representatives who looked ready to spout off.

It was a warning. Unfortunately, the brain-dead representatives this time seemed to have ignored him entirely. Rather than changing their expressions, they became even more impassioned.
