375. Dilos's 'Little' Trouble

After the problem that had arisen during the formation of his soul was resolved, Ancient One left, while Dilos had to deal with the chaos caused by his earlier soul-power rampage.

The loss of control over his soul power had directly caused every living thing within a thousand-mile radius to be ruthlessly pressed flat against the ground by the pressure emitted from his soul. Although he had withdrawn his power in time and caused no casualties, quite a few people were still in a dazed mental state.

People like Qin Jiayin and Dr. Connors, whose physical constitutions were already powerful, could fully recover after resting for just a few minutes or an hour or two. Ordinary people, however, might need several days to recover completely.

This was the strength of soul power. No matter how weak a life form that had formed a soul might be, once it had done so, the soul power it naturally emitted could exert a certain degree of suppression on life forms that had not formed souls. (PS: If the overall strength of a life form that has not formed a soul vastly surpasses that of one that has, then this suppression is practically ineffective. Soul power cannot be too weak if it is to achieve even the most basic suppressive effect.)

Dilos's soul power, however, was simply too powerful. Even its ordinary suppressive effect was far stronger than that of most life forms that had formed souls. As a result, in merely an instant, even without deliberately exerting force, it produced an almost absolute crushing effect on those who had not formed souls.

Even Qin Jiayin, whose strength in the base was second only to Dilos's, found it difficult to resist such crushing pressure. This showed just how terrifying Dilos's soul power truly was.
