Inside Kamar-Taj's reception room.

When Dilos saw Ancient One again, her mental state had improved greatly from before. Barring any accidents, she had more or less recovered.

When Ancient One saw Dilos, her eyes suddenly lit up. She then gave him a subtle nod.

"Master Sullivan is indeed remarkable. In just a few days, you've raised your physical body's strength to a level that matches your soul."

Within the mage sanctum, Ancient One, dressed in traditional Chinese-style robes, smiled as she handed Dilos a cup of tea. "Even without using that pseudo-Dan to restrain your soul, Master, your soul presumably won't cause any harm to your body now."

"You flatter me, Master Ancient One. Compared to the countless wondrous transformations of magic, my abilities are nothing more than a drop in the ocean." Dilos politely returned her praise.

Ancient One smiled faintly at that. After taking a small sip of tea, she said unhurriedly, "Though mages can employ all kinds of spells, they remain far too dependent on the energy within cosmic space. Master Sullivan, however, is not a mage, yet you can accomplish many things that mages must painstakingly work to achieve without relying on cosmic energy."

Dilos gave Ancient One a surprised look. "You can sense it?"

Though his tone was calm, the surprise in his voice was unmistakable.

"Of course."

Ancient One nodded slightly. "Although there are differences, some of the energy fluctuations emanating from Master Sullivan resemble the fluctuations produced when mages cast spells."

"I see. It seems mages truly are remarkable."

Having understood the reason, Dilos smiled helplessly. "I thought no one would know unless I told them. It seems I was still too ignorant."

Dilos felt somewhat deflated. He had thought he was powerful enough now, but clearly, he still knew far too little.
