427. Green! Tony's Green! (Second update)

Elsewhere, the entire world was once again thrown into chaos.

The cause was the mess created by Dilos's Raging Dragon Assault.

That single strike had not only gouged out a circular crater fifty kilometers across, but had vaporized all the land within it.

The disturbance it caused was nothing short of earth-shattering. The ground trembled and the mountains shook; the major powers had no way to ignore it, and even many minor factions had noticed.

However, because S.H.I.E.L.D. had acted swiftly to seal off the area, no other faction besides S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to set foot there.

"Another scene like this."

Coulson sat in the air-conditioned Quinjet. Through footage fed by the aircraft's cameras onto the virtual display, he could see the terrifyingly vast crater below, seemingly bottomless.

Everything inside was charred black. Even now, the crater radiated temperatures far higher than the rest of Africa. Ordinary people would not even be able to approach for a look; they would likely be dehydrated by the heat before reaching its edge.

The last time Coulson had seen a crater like this was in Smallville, except this one was on a far larger scale.

"But it isn't as strange as what we encountered in Smallville."

Thinking of the smooth interior in Smallville, as though something had directly gnawed it away, Coulson spoke.

"That's true. The signs this time look more like something was directly evaporated and vaporized."

Hawkeye Barton, standing beside him, had noticed the difference as well. Staring at the charred wasteland in the footage, his expression was grave. "It's been so long, yet it's still giving off such terrifying heat. Could aliens have done this?"
