Huaxia faced a catastrophic invasion by the Celestials in antiquity. When its defenders were nearly defeated, the Human Emperor appeared, led the surviving human race in driving the invaders away, and sealed several of their foremost experts inside the Celestial Human World. 221

The Liu Family was personally appointed by the ancient Human Emperor as guardian of his lineage. It preserved that lineage for thousands of years while awaiting a successor recognized by the Human Emperor; even the King of Qin did not receive that recognition. 177

Rise of the Awakened

In 2220, the Spirit Qi Storm swept across Earth and made supernatural phenomena commonplace. People capable of extraordinary abilities became known as Awakened, and their strength came to define geopolitical power. Huaxia, Northern Europe, and North America emerged as Earth's three dominant nations because each possessed Grandmaster-level protectors. 1

Number 98, an organization that had existed since Huaxia's founding but was once known only to the country's upper echelons, entered public view after the Spiritual Energy Recovery. It gathered Huaxia's ability users and served as the nation's principal guardian force. 177

Ancient sects and external pressure

The second Spiritual Energy Recovery greatly increased the number of Awakened and brought ancient sects back into activity. Dragon Tiger Mountain openly prepared to descend and unify Huaxia, prompting Liu Feng and Huaxia's leading experts to convene at Number 98 headquarters. 78

Foreign forces repeatedly sought opportunities within Huaxia. Northern Europe and North America interfered with a ruin near Hancheng, while Island Nation ability users operated covertly despite being forbidden from entering Huaxia. 45 28

The Celestial conflict

The reappearance of the South Heavenly Gate reopened the route between Huaxia and the Celestial Human World. Huaxia's Heaven Ascension Realm experts gathered under Liu Feng and launched an offensive against the Celestial Humans rather than waiting for another invasion. 252

During the later battle against the Buddhist Venerable, Yang Chen was recognized as the Human Emperor of the current generation. He united the Daos of Responsibility, Inheritance, and Sacrifice into the Dao of All Beings, then used Huaxia's collective power to defeat the Buddhist Venerable. 274 278 280

Later development

Following the fourth Spiritual Energy Recovery, Huaxia's environment became suffused with spiritual and immortal energy, its polluted waters were purified, and its world core absorbed the Demon World and Celestial Human World's cores. 281

By Yang Chen's return, Huaxia had produced True Immortals and Celestial Immortals. Xiaoxue had become one of its strongest experts and assumed command of Number 98 after Chen Tianxin and Liu Qingtian withdrew from the front line. 907
