Shen Le's curiosity was through the roof.
He practically wanted to shake these clothes, one piece at a time, and bring them to life so he could learn their owners' stories.
Unfortunately, he couldn't shake them. Old objects were fragile, and once damaged, they couldn't be restored. Besides, the clothes' spirituality was extremely weak, and they couldn't form a clear collective consciousness.
Shen Le tried sensing them several times, but all he heard was a very faint, very indistinct sound of sobbing.
All he could do was shrug and continue cleaning the Buddhist Shrine:
The hair was removed, the clothes were removed, the accessories were removed, and all that remained were wooden compartments arranged in an orderly pattern.
The large compartments surrounded the main Buddha Statue, forming one partition after another to hold all the hair, clothes, and jewelry;
Inside the large compartments, the backs of those smaller Buddha Statues were covered with a thick layer of Red Wedding Dress fabric.
The red silk was mostly intact. It had merely grown somewhat dim with the passage of time. Under the glow of the Talismans, scattered damage and cracks could be seen.
Shen Le took a deep breath, clasped his hands, and rubbed his knuckles. This is troublesome, he thought.
To restore the Buddha Statues behind it, he had to remove all the red silk lining:
To remove the red silk lining, he had to dismantle all the outer partitions;
The troublesome part was that the outer partitions and the red silk lining had already stuck together. Removing them would inevitably pull on the silk, and pulling on it could easily tear it—
"Forget it. I'll take it one step at a time."
Shen Le sighed and followed the principles of artifact restoration: photograph it first, photograph it carefully, and scan
