[Hehehehe...]
Cloud Kun happily wiggled its body. The new fireproof cabin Shen Le had made for it was extremely comfortable. At last, it could finally breathe a sigh of relief:
God knew how exhausting it had been to bring this thing back, contain it, and keep itself from being burned to a crisp!
[Shen Le, you'll never guess where I got this thing!]
"Where?"
[Hehe, hehehe... Guess!]
Shen Le smiled faintly and turned to leave. Guess?
What was there to guess?
He could just go back and ask the scholars, naval officers, and sailors who had gone to sea with them. Find out where they had been headed this time, or where they had reached before Cloud Kun activated its water-vein traversal—
Wasn't that where the thing had come from?
Kids needed some discipline sometimes. You couldn't spoil them all day long!
[I went to the bottom of the sea!] Sure enough, Cloud Kun immediately blurted out the answer, as though afraid Shen Le would ignore it if it spoke even a moment too late:
[I was scanning the terrain, but then something cracked open over there and rushed straight at us... So scary! So scary! It nearly burned me up!]
Shen Le stopped walking. From Cloud Kun's description, it sounded like an undersea volcanic eruption?
Such an event would not affect ordinary ships, much less aircraft—unlike a land volcano, whose massive eruptions could force planes to detour thousands of kilometers around it—but what about submarines?
Submarines probably wouldn't be able to take it...
After all, an undersea volcanic eruption could alter the terrain and send large amounts of superheated seawater surging upward, creating abnormal currents that could toss submarines around.
If they charged straight through based on old data, something really could go wrong...
"Did you tell them?" Shen
