Visions witnessed at Ghost Sorrow Cliff depict Tang San before his transmigration as a Soul Beast in human form. He refused to join Soul Beast leaders who indiscriminately hunted Soul Masters for Soul Power and Soul Rings. During the confrontation, he assumed a qilin-like Martial Soul Avatar and ultimately leapt from the cliff rather than submit. 62 63

Tang San also retains memories of a life connected to the Tang Sect. He had secretly learned the sect’s Inner Sect secret arts, believed he deserved punishment for doing so, and had once jumped from Ghost Sorrow Cliff. After a nightmare brought these memories to the surface, he chose to stop clinging to the past and return to the people waiting for him in his new life. 84 85

In his current mortal-world life, Tang San is Tang Hao’s son and possesses Innate Full Soul Power along with Twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer.
