Background

Xiao Wu's mother was killed while protecting her shortly after Xiao Wu took human form. Xiao Wu later explains that her mother self-destructed for her sake; only her Soul Ring and Soul Bone remained, leaving resurrection impossible through Li Ke's proposed life-exchange method. Xiao Wu keeps her mother's comb as her remaining memento. 105 211
