Background / History

Yu Xiaogang is a reincarnator who retains memories of his previous life. In that life, he assisted Tang San in defeating Spirit Hall, but Tang San ascended to the God Realm without taking him along, leaving Xiaogang to grow old in the lower realm with Liu Erlong. 17

In his new life, Xiaogang reunites with the likewise-reborn Flender and Liu Erlong. The three rebuild the Golden Iron Triangle and intend to cultivate powerful disciples, produce a child capable of attaining godhood, and oppose Spirit Hall. 16 17

Spirit Hall later exposes Xiaogang’s Ten Core Competitiveness Theories of Martial Souls as plagiarized from its records and demands one hundred million Gold Soul Coins in compensation. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan publicly distances itself from him, leaving him disgraced and financially burdened. 18 58

Unable to accept his loss of status, Xiaogang returns to Shrek Academy and seeks another exceptional disciple whose accomplishments could restore his reputation. 59 68
