Background / History

Tianshui Academy is situated in the quiet northern district of Balak Royal City. Its campus uses pale blue-and-white architecture, ice-crystal ornamentation, and flowing-water decorations, reflecting its ice- and water-oriented identity 6 7.

The academy traditionally admitted only female students with water- or ice-attribute martial souls. Gu Yena was accepted as an exceptional core team member after demonstrating elemental control through two condensed water dragons; her request that Yang Teng also be admitted led to a special entrance challenge for him 6 7.

Yang Teng defeated captain Shui Bing'er and vice-captain Xue Wu despite being a Spirit Venerable, including breaking their Martial Soul Fusion Skill. Dean Shui Yunxia subsequently confirmed him as a special recruit, making him Tianshui's first male student 8 10 11 12.

Before the Elite Tournament, Balaque Academy attempted to force Tianshui's annexation through a seven-versus-seven challenge. Yang Teng was absent while recovering from heavenly tribulation, but Gu Yena led Tianshui to victory by defeating all seven opponents alone in one minute 11 16.

Yang Teng serves as Tianshui's principal offensive threat, using the Space-Time Divine Dragon martial soul and spatial techniques that opponents struggle to predict or resist.

• Space Strangling — spatial constriction used to overpower opponents, including Feng Xiaotian 5 27.
• Space Divine Slash — third spirit skill that disintegrated the Ice Phoenix fusion skill without seriously injuring its users 10.
• Space Collapse — fourth spirit skill that forms a destructive spatial black hole; its force alarmed Tang Hao despite his Titled Douluo-level strength 28 38 39.
• Martial Soul Avatar — manifests the Space-Time Divine Dragon with Gu Yena's Heart of Space during the final against Shrek 39.

Gu Yena's Elemental Control

Gu Yena provides overwhelming elemental offense, battlefield control, healing, and spatial support.

• She demonstrated water-attribute control by creating two detailed water dragons from ambient elements, securing her admission to Tianshui 7.
• Elemental Tide drains and disrupts enemy spirit power; it forced Shrek into a coordinated countermeasure and later hindered Tang San in the grand final 20 21 37.
• She can heal Yang Teng with life force and helped him recover after heavenly tribulation 16.
• Her spatial knowledge enables Yang Teng's Space-Time Divine Dragon Martial Soul Avatar 39.

Martial Soul Fusion Skills

Tianshui possesses two major fusion combinations.

• Ice Phoenix — Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu's extreme-cold Martial Soul Fusion Skill; it can contend directly with Shrek's Nether White Tiger and suppress Ma Hongjun's Fire Phoenix through attribute advantage 9 10 37.
• Space-Time Divine Dragon fusion — Yang Teng and Gu Yena combine their powers into a seven-colored Space-Time Divine Dragon and unleash a dragon-claw attack that defeated Feng Xiaotian's wind-fire-enhanced force 33 34.
