Background / History

Ishizaki initially operated as a peripheral member of Ryuen Kakeru's Class C network. He coordinated with Kondo in the effort to provoke Sudo Ken into violence, acting as an intermediary while Ryuen directed the larger scheme. His role included helping lure Sudo into confrontations near the Old School Building and Class C dormitory area. 13 23

Ryuen controlled Ishizaki by exploiting his fixation on basketball. During middle school, Ishizaki was suspended after angrily confronting his coach over a starting-position decision; he lost his place on the team afterward. Ryuen later promised him a starting position if he helped deal with Sudo, though Ishizaki ultimately realized Ryuen had no authority over team selection. 22 23

After Sudo resisted Class C's provocation rather than fighting, Ishizaki's confidence in Ryuen began to fracture.
