Bibi Dong ruled Spirit Hall from the Pope Palace, where she was regarded as the organization’s most powerful leader. Her authority was such that subordinates instinctively feared displeasing her, while her presence inspired reverence throughout Spirit City. 89 90 696

She personally investigated reports of Jiang Chen’s exceptional martial soul talent and accepted him as her disciple alongside Hu Liena. She arranged Jiang Chen’s Death Camp training, supported Hu Liena’s acquisition of a fourth soul ring, and consistently provided both disciples with protection, instruction, and political backing. 91 133 176 201

Family and Past Trauma

Bibi Dong initially treated Qian Renxue with cold distance, though her grief over their relationship repeatedly surfaced. At one point, she mistook Jiang Chen for the young Qian Renxue and acted on the belief that he was her lost child. 129 131

For decades, Bibi Dong believed that her former teacher, Qian Xunji, had assaulted her and that she had given birth to Qian Renxue. During her final Rakshasa trial, the Rakshasa God revealed that she had been substituted with a maidservant through an illusion, then implanted with the maidservant’s memories; Qian Renxue was therefore not Bibi Dong’s biological daughter. 746 1083

Her final trial, the Trial of the Seven Emotions, forced her to relive joy, anger, sorrow, fear, love, evil, and desire. The trial exposed both her long-held trauma and her romantic feelings for Jiang Chen; after completing it, she chose to suppress those feelings out of guilt and duty. 1081 1086
