Background / History

Bibi Dong was once Spirit Hall's Saintess and the direct disciple of Pope Qian Xunji. In her youth, she was gentle and openly affectionate toward Yu Xiaogang. Hoping to secure permission for their relationship, she approached her teacher, who pretended to approve before knocking her unconscious 84 85.

Qian Xunji sexually assaulted her in a secret chamber, then confined her until she gave birth to Qian Renxue ten months later. He used threats and humiliation to separate her from Yu Xiaogang. After regaining her freedom, Bibi Dong became withdrawn, cold, and hostile toward Qian Xunji and the Angel Clan 85 86.

As Pope, she repeatedly rejected Qian Renxue's attempts to approach her, leaving her daughter convinced that she was unwanted. The later Desire Challenge revealed that Bibi Dong nevertheless deeply cared for her 84 87.

Bibi Dong also hunted a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit with Yue Guan and Ghost, obtaining her only hundred-thousand-year soul ring at the beginning of the story. Ah Rou, Xiao Wu's mother, was killed by Bibi Dong while protecting her daughter 14 214.

However, her response to Feng Xiaotian's refusal shows that she does not invariably eliminate talented outsiders: she allows him to claim his second martial soul and leave Spirit Soul City 11.

Her affection is highly selective. She treats Hu Liena with warmth, takes pride in her achievements, and worries that romantic fixation will damage her cultivation. Ghost later distinguishes this genuine kindness toward her disciple from her treatment of ordinary subordinates as expendable tools 13 35 70 98.

Seeing Hu Liena's name on the golden stele, Bibi Dong recognizes its aura as identical to a Golden Feather she had discarded. She retrieves the feather, although her level 98 strength initially makes modest soul-ring-age rewards seem unimportant 4 5.

She attempts to recruit Feng Xiaotian after he earns a second martial soul, offering a place in Spirit Hall's Golden Generation and a Title Douluo teacher. He refuses, but she permits him to obtain the Soul-Breaking Spear and depart. She also seeks an audience with Lin Feng and thanks him for giving Hu Liena two challenge opportunities 11 16 17.

Desire Challenge

Following Yu Xiaogang's loss of consciousness, Bibi Dong reconciles with Liu Erlong and accepts the Desire Challenge. A jade mirror publicly displays the experiences and choices within her consciousness world 82 83.
