Background / History

Tang San grew up in Holy Soul Village as the son of Tang Hao. He cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill from childhood and awakened innate full soul power alongside Blue Silver Grass; he also possessed the Clear Sky Hammer as a second martial soul. He initially obeyed Tang Hao unquestioningly, including when Tang Hao intimidated Lu Chen's family and seized the village work-study quota for him. Tang San thanked his father afterward and returned home to cook for him. 1 3

He enrolled at Notting Academy and became Yu Xiaogang's disciple. In Dormitory Seven, Tang San declined Lu Chen's challenge because his Mysterious Heaven Skill had not yet reached the first level and he feared Lu Chen's natural strength. Lu Chen consequently had the other work-study students isolate him. 4 5

Tang San became fixated on Xiao Wu after meeting her. He repeatedly attempted to defend or impress her, but she rejected his advances and later regarded him as a coward for missing the work-study students' match against the noble students while hunting his first spirit ring. 5 9

After Lu Chen resurfaced years later, Tang San attempted to assassinate him at night in Suotuo City. Lu Chen controlled Tang San's Blue Silver Grass, defeated him, and later stripped away the Eight Spider Lances Tang San had gained from his third ring. Following Tang Hao's defeat by Lu Chen, Tang San was lured into absorbing a Century Blood-Sucking Torso Bone disguised as a hundred-thousand-year soul bone.
