Background / History

Tang Hao lived in Holy Soul Village as a drunkard and left Tang San to cook for him. Initially dismissive of the value of becoming a Spirit Master, he changed his stance once he learned Tang San possessed twin martial souls and innate full soul power. He then used his Clear Sky Douluo pressure to intimidate Lu Chen's ordinary parents and force Old Jack to surrender the village's sole work-study quota to Tang San. 2 3

Following Ah Yin's sacrifice, Tang Hao hid her Blue Silver Emperor seed in a dark, damp cave for twelve years. He visited frequently to speak of his love, but did not move her to a suitable growing environment or otherwise aid her recovery. 60

After discovering that Ah Yin and her Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone had vanished, Tang Hao assumed Bibi Dong was responsible because of a message planted in the cave. He stormed Spirit Hall alone, fought Bibi Dong and seven other Title Douluos, detonated eight spirit rings, and destroyed the roof of the Pontiff Palace before retreating injured. Spirit Hall subsequently issued a continent-wide warrant for his arrest. 69 70

Tang Hao later learned of Lu Chen's evolved Blue Silver Emperor martial soul and concluded that Lu Chen had stolen Ah Yin's bloodline. Despite severe hidden injuries, he attacked the Longevity Sect and challenged Lu Chen. Lu Chen overwhelmed him, forcing him to detonate spirit rings to escape into the Capital of Slaughter. 114 115 116

Crippled and unable to sustain intense combat, Tang Hao sought refuge with Tang Yuehua and the Clear Sky Sect. Tang Xiao secured his readmission after Tang Hao agreed to atone for the damage his past conflict with Spirit Hall had caused the sect. 125 126 127

When Lu Chen invaded the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace, Tang Hao joined Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect elders against him. The group was defeated; Tang Xiao and the five elders were killed, while Tang Hao was captured. 132 133 134

Lu Chen brought Tang Hao before the resurrected Ah Yin, who stated that she had never lost her memories and despised him for confining her in the unsuitable cave. Lu Chen then removed Ah Yin's 100,000-year spirit ring from Tang Hao, reducing him to level 89. 135

After Lu Chen annihilated the Clear Sky Sect in front of him, Tang Hao died while cursing Lu Chen and placing his hopes for vengeance on Tang San. His body was destroyed, leaving behind six spirit bones. 136

His attachment to Ah Yin drives much of his later conduct, but it is expressed through possessiveness and impulsive violence. He attacked Spirit Hall without confirming who had taken her, then assaulted the Longevity Sect after assuming Lu Chen had stolen her bloodline. 69 114
