Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Single-Tomoe Sharingan | 4 5 | Received as a pair through a system compensation draw and integrated after an extremely painful process. Its activation substantially improves Yun Xi’s strength, reactions, and agility. |
| Two-Tomoe Sharingan (attempted) | 21 23 | Earned for accepting the mission to help Uchiha Itachi oppose Danzo. Fusion with Yun Xi’s existing Single-Tomoe eyes triggered a system error and forced-fusion process instead of a normal upgrade. |
| Three-Tomoe Sharingan | 24 25 | Yun Xi rejected an unstable Six Paths-level power option that would consume his sanity; the system compensated him with a Three-Tomoe Sharingan. Fusion completes following a Physical Enhancement reward. |
History
The system granted Yun Xi two Single-Tomoe Sharingan as compensation for an error involving his inherited memories. Yun Xi immediately regarded them as his primary means of surviving the ninja world and accepted their integration despite the severe physical and mental pain it caused 4 5.
The system later explained that Yun Xi’s Uchiha bloodline allowed the Sharingan to be fused directly into his body, maximizing its potential and avoiding future evolutionary accidents. However, Yun Xi’s initially frail body could not sustain activation for long; eye pain set in before he had maintained the eyes for ten minutes 5.
After Yun Xi agreed to help Uchiha Itachi resist Danzo and alter the Uchiha clan’s fate, he received a Two-Tomoe Sharingan reward. Its fusion failed because he already possessed the Single-Tomoe eyes, triggering a forced fusion with a fifty-percent failure chance. The conflict released a dark red aura, murderous intent, and intense negative emotions 20 21 23 24.
The system identified the Sharingan as a dark power system fueled by negative emotions such as anger, fear, and dread. Yun Xi refused to unleash that power in exchange for temporary Six Paths-level combat strength, choosing instead to complete the intended evolution and receive the Three-Tomoe Sharingan 24. The completed fusion gave him broader vision and greatly heightened sensory perception 25.
Appearance
When active, the Sharingan replaces Yun Xi’s black pupils with dark-red or crimson eyes marked by rotating black tomoe.
- Single-Tomoe form — ruby-like crimson pupils with one black tomoe in each eye 4 5.
- Three-Tomoe form — dark-red pupils containing three black, tadpole-like tomoe 25.
- During the failed evolution, Yun Xi emitted a dark-red aura accompanied by murderous intent and negative energy 24.
Abilities & Skills
Visual Perception and Combat Reading
The Sharingan provides heightened observation and dynamic vision, allowing Yun Xi to react to attacks that would otherwise be too fast to follow.
- Activation at the Single-Tomoe stage at least doubles Yun Xi’s effective physical performance, including strength, reaction speed, and agility 5.
- The Three-Tomoe form significantly widens Yun Xi’s field of vision; he can see a beetle several streets away 25.
- Against Orochimaru, Yun Xi uses the Three-Tomoe Sharingan to make the Kusanagi Sword’s previously invisible trajectory appear slower, narrowly avoiding the strike 47.
- It can observe chakra flow and assist in seeing through genjutsu 5.
Copying and Genjutsu
The Sharingan’s copying and illusion-related functions develop with its tomoe count.
- Single- and Two-Tomoe forms possess basic observation, copying, and hypnosis functions, but the Single-Tomoe form cannot perform even basic genjutsu 24.
- The Three-Tomoe Sharingan retains the lower forms’ capabilities while gaining the ability to copy ninjutsu and amplify Yun Xi’s overall abilities 24.
- The broader description of the Sharingan includes copying taijutsu and non-bloodline ninjutsu 5.
Fire Release Enhancement
The Sharingan improves Yun Xi’s affinity for Fire Release, with the Three-Tomoe stage producing a notable increase in the scale and power of his techniques.
- Single- and Two-Tomoe forms enhance physical fitness and Fire Style talent alongside their basic ocular abilities 24.
- With the Three-Tomoe Sharingan active, Yun Xi’s Fire Release becomes orange-red, gains a wider attack range, and consumes more chakra 27.
- The Sharingan alone enlarges Yun Xi’s Great Fireball Technique and moderately increases its attack power 27.
Flame-Flame Fruit Synergy
The Three-Tomoe Sharingan can merge with Yun Xi’s Flame-Flame Fruit power and chakra, producing Fire Release far stronger than either power used separately.
| Configuration | Observed effect |
|---|---|
| Fire Release only | High-temperature flames with moderate chakra consumption, aided by Yun Xi’s Fire Release enhancement 27 |
| Sharingan + Fire Release | Orange-red flames with a greater area of effect and higher chakra consumption 27 |
| Flame-Flame Fruit + Fire Release | More powerful, liquefied-looking flames with greatly increased attack speed 27 |
| Sharingan + Flame-Flame Fruit + Fire Release | Dazzling, highly dense flames with extreme heat; impacts can crystallize sand 27 |
Limitations
- Yun Xi’s original body was too weak to sustain the Single-Tomoe Sharingan for long, causing sharp eye pain and forced deactivation in under ten minutes 5.
- The Sharingan’s heightened vision does not automatically overcome Yun Xi’s physical limits. He cannot reliably evade Orochimaru’s Wind Style: Great Breakthrough through ocular perception alone 47.
- Forced fusion of incompatible Sharingan stages can provoke negative emotions, murderous intent, and a risk of losing sanity 23 24.
- The most powerful Sharingan–Flame-Flame Fruit fusion state strains Yun Xi’s body and cannot be maintained for an extended period 26.
Associated Individuals and Powers
- Yun Xi — current Three-Tomoe bearer; uses the Sharingan for combat perception, Fire Release amplification, and synergy with the Flame-Flame Fruit 25 27 47.
- The System — granted the initial Single-Tomoe eyes, the attempted Two-Tomoe upgrade, and the compensatory Three-Tomoe evolution 4 21 24.
- Uchiha Itachi — Yun Xi conceals the Sharingan from Itachi during their early training because he cannot explain possessing an Uchiha dōjutsu; Itachi later recognizes Yun Xi’s Fire Release talent without knowing its full source 19.
- Orochimaru — becomes especially interested in Yun Xi after witnessing his Three-Tomoe Sharingan and unusual fire-based abilities 47.
