Background & History

Before becoming Sasuke, he was an aspiring prison guard who died in a car accident while travelling to a prison guard examination. He awakened in the body of infant Sasuke Uchiha with knowledge of the Naruto world's future, including the Uchiha massacre and Itachi's future role in it. 1

Although he initially considers assassinating Itachi, Sasuke concludes that Itachi is not the root cause of the impending massacre. He identifies the deeper conflict between the Uchiha clan, Konoha's leadership, and Danzō, resolving to save the clan even if that ultimately requires defection from Konoha. 1

His greatest advantage is the Soul Prison within his mind. During the Nine-Tails attack, he imprisons Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki's souls, exploits their reactions to acquire their powers, and eventually obtains the Yin half of the Nine-Tails. 2 4 5 He names the altered Tailed Beast Setsuna and establishes an exclusive Tailed Beast space for her within the Soul Space. 6

Sasuke later captures White Zetsu, obtaining the means to act beyond the limitations of his infant body through spore clones and White Zetsu-derived abilities. 7 9 He also retrieves Minato and Kushina's bodies for future use. 15

When Elder Uchiha Nobuhiko dies, Sasuke contains his soul and convinces him to continue serving the clan after death. Nobuhiko willingly grants Sasuke his abilities and becomes Uchiha Izumi's mentor inside the Soul Space. 19 20 Sasuke uses this arrangement to rapidly develop Izumi into a capable shinobi while positioning her as a potential bridge between the Uchiha and Konoha. 20 33 37

Personality

Sasuke is calculating, patient, and unusually politically minded for his age. He views the Uchiha clan's survival as a long-term strategic problem rather than a conflict that can be solved simply by killing Itachi.
