For some reason.
In that instant, Gilan felt the surrounding environment brimming with malice toward him, as though it wanted to drive him away—or even kill him!
Whoosh—
In the soundless atmosphere, he suddenly rose to his feet and looked around.
That indescribable intuition made Gilan feel as though needles were pricking his back. It was as if countless gazes were secretly watching him, ready to attack at any moment.
As expected, leaving "footprints" won't be so easy.
Gilan thought to himself.
It was obvious when he thought about it.
If it were easy, the journey along the "Path of the Flaming Sword" would not have become increasingly difficult.
Nor would there be so few high-ranking Mystics.
Rustle!
All of a sudden, a powerful wind sprang up from nowhere.
The tiny dandelions on the ground were scattered by the wind, sending vast clouds of fine white fluff into the air.
As Gilan breathed, he accidentally inhaled some of the fluff.
His entire body immediately went numb, while a stabbing pain rose from the depths of his mind.
Not good! These dandelions are like spores, and they carry potent mental toxins!
Gilan thought, quickly holding his breath.
Yet the fluff floating throughout the sky seemed to possess thought and life. It actively flew toward Gilan, surrounding and circling him, trying to burrow into his ears, nose, and mouth.
Seeing this, Gilan made a snap decision. He took out the Snowy Owl Mask he had used before and put it on.
At once, he felt his breathing clear up.
However, the round glass lenses were covered by a thick layer of white fluff, making it impossible to see his surroundings.
Gilan had no choice but to activate his spirit vision, keeping watch at all times to avoid any accident that might arise.
