Throughout the gathering, it was mostly the four Hour-Gods conversing. The Apostles occasionally spoke a few words, but the other Metamorphs and Ascendants had no right to speak and could only listen in silence.
Gilan kept a low profile and remained silent throughout, using the opportunity to overhear quite a few confidential plans, including the Three Art Hour-Gods' intention to strike at the "Torrent."
They appeared to want to recreate the "Night of Exposure." Just as they had assassinated the "Director," they intended to assassinate the "Torrent" once more, dealing a fatal blow while the Empire faction was weakened and removing an Hour-God.
That would not only crush the Empire faction more thoroughly and eliminate any chance of a comeback, but also free up an Hour-God's seat for an Apostle under their command.
Yet Gilan did not believe the Three Art Hour-Gods would succeed so easily. After what had happened to "Snow Lady," the "Crippled King" would surely have made preparations.
