Background

Luo Hongyan was originally an ordinary-born but exceptionally gifted woman of the Celestial Clan. In her youth, an azure divine bird became both her companion and benefactor, teaching her the profundities of bloodlines and the laws of light; this guidance enabled her to surpass her peers. The bird later vanished before she became a god. Much later, the Black Phoenix revealed that it had guided Luo Hongyan's life and treated her as a chess piece, a revelation that enraged her. 966

Before arriving in the lower realms, Luo Hongyan was harmed by others, lost her physical body, and remained sealed for centuries. Reduced to a spirit entity, she sought Phoenix Marrow as the means to recreate her body and pursue revenge. 28 57

Luo Hongyan entered the story as a sealed spirit seeking Phoenix Marrow for rebirth. She possessed Ning Yao, watched Pang Jian seize the Phoenix Marrow through means she considered impossible for a Qi Refining Realm cultivator, and began regarding him as someone she could not ignore. 28 31

She refined Hong Tai into a Spirit Sha, assumed Ning Yao's identity, and remained with Pang Jian's group despite his distrust. Her early attempts to gain his cooperation included manipulation and seduction, but Pang Jian rejected her and demanded that she leave. 31 57
